The campground was wonderful, very easy to navigate, felt very safe. Friends stayed at the resort a mile away, the rooms were beautiful but expensive ($200 night) plus they had to pay extra for their baby. Pool looked beautiful and they said it was like bathwater. After reading so many good reviews, we decided to plan a weekend getaway with our kids (1 and 4). At first glance, the lodge appeared dated and in need of some refreshing. Stayed here while attending a Toledo Mud Hens game. There is a good amount to do at this park, but not A LOT. 2 days is a good stay here, any more and you may get bored. Can walk out by Lake Erie, walk a trail and the board walk trail and hang out in the lodge, but other than... more
What a nice place for a family!!! We stayed in a room overlooking Lake Erie, it was a standard hotel room but big enough for a family of 4 for 2 nights. This was our family`s third Christmas Holiday vacation at the Maumee Bay State Lodge. We came from many states. Most rented rooms at the lodge.There were many raves about our hoiday accommidations.The children were so entertained with activities.
