It's May 19th and you;d better rush out to see the prolific rhodo and azaelea display at Dawes. WOW! While you are at it, walk the paved loops, front and back. Get some fresh air and cardio and a 3-4 mile enjoyable hike!

we only had a short time to spare at the Arboretum, but you can drive around it! Fantastic! We saw all garden areas, had chats with most knowledgable and helpful folk, had a frozen custard and went for a boardwalk stroll in under an hour..and it was FREE..fantastic!

My family and I love going to Dawes! They have a really nice visitors center with a lot of great educational information! In the bottom of the visitors center they have this really neat spot where you can see the inside of a bee hive and a bird look out spot! We love the Japanese garden! The employees do a... More

A long time ago, when it was allowed, we would go gather pine cones to use when making wreathes at Christmas time. It is too bad we cannot remove things from the arboretum any more... but we sure can enjoy the area just as much as we did in the 50's and 60's. Coming back to visit Mom with my... More

No matter what time of year its always beautiful and consistently interesting. We visited last weekend and found that the trees were not yet in bloom,... More

I am looking forward to doing an after dark nature walk sometime this summer. Last and certainly not least, I am also looking forward to my daughter's wedding in sept,the... More

This is a piece of heaven in Licking County. Good parking, good services, great for learning about the flora, fauna and animals for young and old alike. Good to drink a cup of coffee in the Winter and watch all the birds eating from the feeders while you are sipping a good cup of coffee while being warm and cozy... More
