We've driven by this unique building at least three times. We've never stopped to go inside because it's probably a normal rectangle building. As you are driving eastbound at one point it comes into view...I don't know whether you come around a curve and then voila! there it is, but it is definitely impressive. Imagine if you didn't know it... More

Love to visit Newark (that's Nerk in Ohioese) when we're in the Buckeye State. The Basket is one of those things that is so Ohio... real, fun, and a booster for the city. Every town and city has its festival & many places have their oddities and interesting places. In Nerk, it's the basket. Not much other than a photo... More

My son and I traveled to Newark and we had no idea about the world's largest basket! It was an awesome surprise! We were so excited when we saw it!

This is a really neat building and very interesting to look at just don't plan on anything too exciting. Most of the building isn't even used any more and there isn't that much to do.

Even if you did not plan it, you will probably stop and go look like I did. The building is just unique and you can't help yourself.

I have passed this building for many years and am sad to say that they have not maintained the paint. This is a unique structure and should be kept in great shape especially since so many people pass it daily and drive out of their way to see. It is worth driving by just for the difference of the design... More

Stopped by for a quick photo-op while heading through the area today. Definitely something you don't see very often.

If you're driving in the neighborhood, be sure to drive by and get a photo of this landmark! It certainly is unique - and a record holder.
