This small market sells a big variety of cheeses plus deli meats, homemade jams, and a few shelves of other food and snack items. It is not a grocery store so don't expect to pick up all of your grocery items here, but the cheeses are very good and make it worth the trip to this small Amish community.

For plenty varieties of cheese you can't beat going to Middlefield. Here in the middle of Amish country in Ohio one can find plenty to snack on under this roof. From cheese and meat to a few other items locally made.

Smaller inside than expected, the interior has momentos from Sweden and offers and intriguing back drop for shopping. A real cheese factory in process.

This is one of those off-the-beaten-path must-stops. And while they do make great cheese, Amish butter will change your life! :) If you're up for amazing pastries and donuts as big as your head (truly...they are ginormous), take a quick drive up Nauvoo Road to the Nauvoo Family Market. Very little parking, but well worth a visit.

Located near the town of Middlefield, this cheese retail outlet has a large selection of tasty, fresh cheeses at reasonable prices. I particularly like the baby Swiss. The retail store also has other packaged food selections such as potato chips, drinks, beef sticks, crackers, breads, condiments, souvenirs, etc. You can also purchase deli meats and cheese by the pound or... Great cheese. We bought the cheese sampler, always good. However, their smoked beef sticks are the best around!

I like to stop by for the fresh cheese. They have a nice variety of cheese and it is fresh. They also carry some other unique items that you can't find at the stores.

While there is a small museum (photos and a few artifacts) that are interesting to see, the shop itself is not unique. It looked just like a convenience store with lots of souvenirs and cello wrapped cheese.

There's nothing really wrong with this place, except that it's a total tourist trap, and they don't make most of the cheese they sell here. If you want the real thing, and want cheese that's made where you buy it, go a few miles east on rt 87 to the Original Cheese Co-Op. That's where they make it and sell... More
