Were there on a very hot july morn. Took rim trail to a point where a sign indicated that the trail "ended". The obvious trail continued in the same direction and a meager unmarked trail branched off, but no signs showing where the trails were going...ended up behind a school. No natural outdoor area can be rated poor in my... More

Definitely a great way to spend an hour or so in the early afternoon on the weekend. A couple of great trails through the woods and one main trail that leads to the beach area. High recommend that you bring bug-spray in the June-July time, as mosquitoes will, quite literally, bleed you dry.

Great place to hike and experience the woods, lagoons and Lake Erie beach. Hiking is easy, but bring bug spray for in the wooded areas!!

The Mentor Lagoons is one of my favorite spots to go ever since I stumbled across it in 1997. It is beautiful in all seasons! In the summer, I ride my bike along the main path, park my bike, and walk down to the long, uncrowded stretch of beach. It's not a beach you can go swim at, but is... More

It is one of my favorite walks with lots wildlife, scenery and fresh air! Plenty of spots to stop and look at the lake.

It's great to be in nature. You can walk through the woods or walk straight back to walk along the beach. There's even a super old grave from early 1800s in the back if you can find it!

Wide paths, nice scenery. Great that it takes you to the beach in a few spots! Love taking my dog for walks or a quick bike ride too!

My wife and I regularly take the Mentor Lagoons mile walk through the woods to get to the beach on Lake Erie where we enjoy the view and get our feet wet as we often wade ankle deep as we look for sea glass on the beach. It is peaceful, not crowded and enjoyable. We frequently see deer and birds... More

Loved the trails, some groomed, some through the woods for variety. You can also access the great beach of Lake Erie!

It is about a mile walk to the most secluded beach. No bathrooms when you get there. It is beautiful!! The walk to the beach is very quiet, no highway traffic, no people, just the sound of nature. When you get to the beach, all you see in either direction is sand and lake. There might be a couple people... More
