This is a huge beach area in NE Ohio. There is ample parking. There are restrooms and picnic facilities. There are plenty of areas where you can walk. There is a far walk from some areas of the parking lot to the actual beach. May be difficult if you have little ones and are trying to carry a lot of... More

Headlands is a decent beach park on the shore of Lake Erie. There is a lot of sand to share, but it still gets crowded. There are a handful of picnic tables and some absolutely filthy bathrooms. Go in the evening and it's not too crowded, and you can take a nice walk along the beach.

This was a nice public state park. We didn't swim in the lake but those on the beach appeared to enjoy themselves very much. Lots of picnic facilities and other amenities available.

Lots of sand and an great beach for a dip in Lake Erie. A good place for picnics, or just building sand castles. It doesn't get much better on Lake Erie.

Fun day in the sun. The beach is great, lots of places to relax and spread out. Nice walking paths, plenty of parking and easy access bathrooms. Enjoy a day at the beach.

Visited here on business and was fairly underwhelmed on the quality of the beach. It was May and the govt was refreshing the beaches using bulldozers on the sand. Lots of trash on the beach and not appealing stuff like discarded plastic and tampon applicators, I'm used to Atlantic Ocean beaches and this was nothing of the sort, perhaps a... More

We went in May. It was warm & there were a few people there, swimming even! Sign says no dogs on beach...people had their dogs on the beach. Don't go barefoot you'll step in crap. Wish they would enforce their own rules! Beautiful place except that.... Yuck.
