There are multiple paths and trails to explore here. I loved the setting of wildflowers and plants, trees and hedges, ponds and lakes. Lovely butterfly garden. There were lots of bees collecting pollen from the wildflowers but don't worry, they are on a mission and ignore you. If you have a passion for photography or nature, this is the place... More

Truly beautiful grounds. Had some trouble with tram tour operator/volunteer who drove the tram. She had a bad knee and had to have the drivers seat pushed back so she could stretch out her leg. The result was the seat behind hers had 3 inches between the cushion and the driver seat back. I asked if she could move it... More

The Holden Arboretum is a beautiful collection of display gardens, labeled plants and trails through the lovely Ohio woodland. Each garden displays a large variety of plants which are harmoniously mixed and well maintained. The butterfly garden is quite attractive as well as the rhododendron garden. It is a very relaxing way to spend several hours. The visitor center and... More

As a professional horticulturalist I am not an average visitor but it was well worth the time. Very pretty grounds and pathways. The new rhododendron garden needs some time to mature and grow in. Signage was pretty good on most plants but some were missing. The pond needed some attention. The book store and shop was very sparse. Not much... More

I visited the arboretum with my daughter and a friend. It is so beautiful to view all of the different gardens and woodland trails. It is very well maintained and worth a stop. The admission was $10 per person, but you can get $1 off per person if you are a member of AAA. You can spend hours here walking... More

We spent the better part of an afternoon here on a lovely day in late May. The place is just beautiful and it appears as if there is something to see in every season. We were fortunate enough to be there during lilac and rhododendron season. There are many gardens to explore. We especially enjoyed the butterly garden and the... More

I got to hike Stebbins Gulch, enjoy a geology slide show, take in the various gardens and tour the David G. Leach Research Station all in the same month while visiting The Holden Arboretum. This jewel that shouts come and visit me is a favorite of mine and worthy of the time spent seeing nature at its best. There are... More

The nature walks are great, miles of trails with beautiful planting featured. Guides will lead you through tours, and membership is worthwhile. Also each spring they hold a fantastic plant sale in tents on the grounds. They do have excellent personnel who also organize school outings for children.
