Great experience but I did expect to see more animals than we did. Some of the animals were sleeping and hard to get a good look at but you get that I guess. It is a great place for kids and they have so many facilities and play areas for kids along the walks. The safari bus tour, which is... More

The Werribee zoo is heaps of fun for kids and adults. They have safari busses and amazing animals. You will have a ball if you go and visit.

loved the ride around and the tour, it was a very spacious zoo, and a very kind environment for the animals. I did expect to see more variety of animals though.

This place is a must see. I have lived in Victoria all my life and this is the first time I have visited it. The tour of the zoo is a must do. We we're "held up" by giraffes on the road who didn't want to move, so we were very close. Not only is the open plains zoo great... More

Had a fantastic family day at the Werribee Zoo. Bonus as kids admission was free during school holidays. BEWARE of very high prices for food and anything from the gift shop. There are good facilities with places to sit if you take your own food. Some great gifts in the shop but hard on the pocket, $20 doesn't give you... More

Wow, what an awesome zoo! We arrived at 10 and didn't leave til 5! We took in most of the keeper talks, which often included feeding as well. It was amazing to see a Seval (Wild cat) up close and it can only be seen during the keeper's talk, so be sure not to miss this one! The keepers were... More

Unfortunately the animals were in siesta mode and many were hard to spot in their exhibits the day we went, but that's the chance you take with any animal attraction. We paid extra for the off road Safari, which was really good and were lucky to be alongside the two rhinos as they were having a lovely mud bath. The... More

Wow! What an amazing experience best thing ever! And well worth the money! When we first bought it, we weren't sure what we would get for $300pp but it was well worth it! Our tour guides/keeper Brooke and Kirsten to warn you that you may not see any animals. But we saw all of them! It was just soo amazing!... More

Had a marvellous time with my 3yo and 5yo! Got there at 1030am and stayed till 1820pm (open till 9pm on Saturdays when Rhythm of Africa is on). The weather was fantastic, the animals were easily seen, the safari ride (leaves every 20 minutes, lasts 40 minutes, and is included in the price of your ticket) was great because there's... More
