We do not 'do' zoos very often but this one came highly recommended. The zoo is well laid out with easy walking paths. The animals look in really good condition and have plenty of room to roam about. We took the bus ride around the grounds and were very close to some of the animals especially the Giraffes. It is... More

It's not Africa, but it's the next best thing! We arrived at around 2pm and checked in, where we were given instructions on where to park and how to get to the lodge that we had previously booked. Arriving early gave us a chance to settle into our Safari Lodge and to take in the view across the 'savannah' where... More

The zoo is an amazing adventure and when on the off road safari I felt I was in the savanna of Africa. Take a picnic lunch if you can as the café has limited meal choices and is quite busy, there are lots of little huts and picnic areas to sit and relax.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable time at the Zoo. We enjoyed the bus ride around the grounds and enjoyed seeing the animals in the open environment. We also liked watching the Hippo's being fed. The Meercats were very entertaining

From the naturally comical meerkats who provide wonderful entertainment when grabbing some light refreshment at the Meerkat bistro to the hippos in the pseudo African wetlands, Motaba and his 2 sons in the Gorilla exhibit, the free safari tour where you'll see zebra, rhino and giraffe as well as mixed species exhibits of bison, antelope and ostrich I love going... Plenty to see and experience. I'm a hobby photographer so with a good long lens you can get some great shots of the big guys in a natural (non zoo like) setting. A great learning experience for kids of all ages.

This is great day out. Hippo beach has a huge sandpit and a water jet area where children can get wet and see the hippos at very close range. My two year old granddaughter enjoyed The safari bus trip. Overall the whole day was just great.
