Dropped in on the way past, friendly staff and what a beautiful house. Unfortunately poured with rain after we got there so was unable to check out the gardens and outside buildings. Well worth the visit.

This lovely house and grounds have links back to the very core of our history. Very well presented with friendly knowledgeable guides, this house is a must see. Agree with another reviewer that the low cost was a pleasant surprise. The begonias in the conservatory were spectacular, don't miss the beautiful little chapel. The kids loved it all and enjoyed... We visited this garden and toured the estate. The hertiage rose garden is very nice and the roses were well named. The grounds are well maintained. Worth a visit. They also have events throught the year.

As a lover of history I really enjoyed our visit to Entally Estate. The introductory talk when we arrived was very interesting and set the scene for our self-guided wanderings through the beautiful home and outbuildings. The gardens and grounds are magnificent with some lovely old trees and we were lucky to find the greenhouse filled with the most spectacular... More

Probably one of the better historic houses open to the public that I have been to in Australia. Not likely to impress anyone from Europe or the US though.

I wanted to visit here as my great-great-great grandfather worked here in the 1840s (maybe as toll keeper). A lovely building and gardens with interesting outbuildings. I haven't given it an excellent rating only because the restoration of the estate and collections are still under way and I want to be able to give it a higher review next time.... More

Entally House is a beautifully maintained Historic Homestead (by Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service) set in delightful grounds and furnished in the period. Modest entry fee of $10 per adult, and a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours wandering throughout the house and grounds and outbuildings which comprise stables, rose gardens and much, much more. There is also... More
