A delightful Estate with interesting history. Links to Mary Reibey - an exceptional woman. In loving hands/management but needing more support. A must see destination when visiting Launceston.

Built in 1919 this estate by Thomas Reibey 11 has been restored and the gardens are simply magnificent. The stables, coach house and farmyard are full of carts and machinery . The only thing missing is horses but they have a resident cat Ginge who is very friendly. The old furniture inside the mansion is original and been restored.

Visit Entally for the beautiful grounds, it costs $5 to wander around admiring the garden, including what is thought to be one of the oldest conservatories in Australia. $10 for house entry. A good feel for the life of the Reiby family, much helpful information displayed about the house. Very little is original to the house. & a few of... More

The historic house at Entally is run by volunteers for the Wildlife and Parks organisation. Volunteer gardeners do a superb job as do the ladies who show you round the house and make the Devonshire teas. A gently interesting slice of colonial life. The great delight is that we had the place almost to ourselves, so I hope this review... More

Gorgeous restored property with clear information given about property. Wonderful to walk through the home and feel the past presence of owners. Extensive gardens and an absolutely beautiful greenhouse.

This was a really interesting old homestead and estate to visit. Largely self guided, but with a really informative volunteer who spelled out the history of the homestead and its occupant with real passion and enthusiasm. Pretty cheap ($25 for the family) and good for a couple of hours exploring the house, outbuildings and grounds.

what a beautiful place . Old Australia at its best! A beautiful old homestead from the early 1800s -so elegant. Fully furnished of the era , surrounded by the most spectacular gardens you will see anywhere. It really takes you back in time to a more glamorous era. the massive trees in the garden have to be seen to be... More

We went here on a recent open day. The gardens are just gorgeous and the house has been meticulously restored and is fascinating to wander through. A truly beautiful place to visit and take a picnic.

Visited during Gardenfest as we do every year. Gardens are beautifully kept by volunteers and the mature peonies are a beautiful sight in the walled garden. The house is worth exploring, not as grand as some and a real insight into how things were. Lovely flower displays throughout the house added another dimension. Close to Launceston and on the way...
