hiking up here on a clear day is just magnificent. although the terrain isn't difficult it's still a good idea to wear proper shoes. if you're worried about it being a hard climb just take several breaks in between and by the time you're at the lookout you'll be so happy you did it!

I think it's one of the best place in Tassie. It was warm and sunny when I came there. I climbed to the Coles and Wineglass Bay lookout and absolutely loved it. I could see for miles and everywhere was blue water and blue sky. Great photos as well. I also recommend to go all the way down to the... More

this is a great walk, about 30 mins to the top and not much further to the beach at wineglass bay. we jogged it as part of the longer hazards beach loop! excellent path although fairly steep.

I have been to Tasmania twice and I love that place. Each time I went I stayed in Hobart. The first time I stayed at the Tower Motel in north Hobart, roughly 3 miles from Salamanca Square and the second time I stayed at the Best Western in Sandy Bay but I think that place has been renamed. Anyhow, we... More

Well worth the climb...but it is a brutal climb up and down the hill. Don't expect an 'average' kid to be able to do the walk there and back. The fact that it is a rare place and inaccessible to most kind of makes it a surreal experience. Take your camera! Its a 60 min walk to the beach...and another... More

Great little walk to see the iconic and beautiful panorama of Wineglass Bay. A must do for all tourists to southern Tasmania.

We visited in late July and had the bluest of skies. Stunning, breath taking can't find enough superlatives to describe this stunning area. We walked to the lookout and then down to the beach and continued on the Isthmus and Hazard beach track. It took us four and half hours but it was absolute stunning. it is a long walk... More

What a view! We walked on a beautiful sunny, blue-sky day and what a view it was when we reached the lookout. Along the way, there were also beautiful rock formations and plenty of wildlife. An absolute must is this National Park, for ANYONE visiting Tasmania. Make sure you are prepared for all the National Park fees though - this... More

A fairly tough walk for me, not being very fit, but a wonderful panorama once you arrive. The weather can make quite a difference to what can be seen once you arrive. It was very clear when we first got there, but mist drifted over. Pick your day if possible.

There is a bit of climb up the hill but the views that you get make the hard word worthwhile. I would recommend getting on the trail early in the morning before the rest of the people are out as a quiet view from the lookout is very serene and maximises the enjoyment of the surroundings.
