Owner description: Spreyton Cider Co is the latest venture from Spreyton Fresh, the home of the finest Fresh Apple Juice since 1998. The cidery located on our working orchards was constructed in 2012 with our first bottling taking place in October 2012. Building on our expertise in producing fresh apple juice, our cider maker has produced a range of ciders that are classic examples of the cider maker’s art. The Cidery is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Devonport and the Spirit of Tasmania, and on the Cradle Country touring route to Cradle Mountain. The cidery is open daily for tastings and sales of cider, fresh juices and fruit, with fresh cherries available in season (Mid December to February).

I saw Spretron Cider advertised as a product so went to find the makers and taste their range. While the $10 tasting fee was a surprise, selecting a bottle to take home was.great value. Their cider is different and extremely nice. My preference was the new 5% bright. Well worth the visit, and well worth the $10

This was a great stop on our way to Davenport. I recommend the $10 tasting, you get to taste all of their ciders and you get to have a glass/take a bottle home of the cider of your choice. Great value and really tasty!

I have never tried cider before. However after visiting Spreyton Cider Co. I now love it. We were able to try many different types of cider. Which all were explained very well by the young lady behind the bar. While I didn't think it was very cheap, we couldn't help ourselves as we really liked the flavours and the freshness.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed tasting the different styles of cider, while the staff member gave us a brillant overview of the apple and cider industry and the types of apples required for different ciders.

We stopped in here on our way from Cradle Mountain to Launceston. The tasting was great and they even suggest you share a tasting as their cider is quite strong and they know people have to drive which is really responsible of them. We loved the taste of their ciders and thought they were reasonably priced so bought a few... More

We stopped here on the way back from a day out after we saw the "Cherries" sign. We bought some cherries which were excellent and good value. We also checked out the cider while we were there and ended up buying a mixes case to take home and enjoyed trying the different varieties which were all delicious! The staff were... More

Really enjoyed this cider! I must say was a little sceptical at first from reading some of the reviews as I have a real sweet tooth, and was expecting the ciders to be a bit sour! But I enjoyed all 5 tastings! Fantastic summer drink and really refreshing!! We bought some extra bottles for New Years! The lady serving us... More

Not much to do at the venue except taste test and drink, but at least you can try all the ciders at a nominal price and thus choose your favorite. The ciders are all dry but range from very dry to just dry. The fruit flag our of their ciders and perry is wonderful. Pity they are not available in... More

I was very excited that this place was opening and looking forward to trying the cider as their juices are fantastic and I love the cherries when they are in season. Although and I know it's a bit subjective, but this is the worst cider I've ever tasted - and overpriced. And, the fact that they charge $10 for a... More

We agree with the reviewer that taste is subjective and our cider is vastly different to commercially sweetened ciders made from concentrate. We do offer 5 unique varieties of hand crafted, bottle fermented Tasmanian cider that we hope at least one will appeal to everyones palate. The tasting of all 5 variesties includes a bottle of the customers choice for... More
