I dont mind travel by water but the better half always had said no way to a trip by ferry to Tasmania. I was a bit concerned with the weather forecast and we certainly had rough seas for both crossings. Fortunately the seasickness medication did the trick and we didnt need to have one person fly home. The cabin and... More

booked a cabin for 2 and was surprised to find it so roomy and with everything we needed for a comfy night. The seas remained calm and we dined at the captains table buffet (small plate of your choice was more than enough )Plenty of water available free at the bar. Lots of space in the bars and sitting areas... More

I enjoyed my trip on the Spirit of Tasmania but it could have been so much better. We booked online and somehow thought that we had a double bed when in fact we had singles. This didn't bother us too much as it was only for one night and the room was clean and the beds comfortable. The room itself... More

I ran a tour of 6 families , consisting of 30 people including 16 kids under 10! What a fantastic experience we had traveling to and from the great southern land. We were really well looked after from arrival all the way back home. We were even given our own seating area for dinner for the kids. We did the... More

We travelled to and from Tasmania in early May and had no complaints. The ferry loading was very efficient and we were given the keys to our cabin at the vehicle check in. We had an inside cabin because it was cheaper for our family of 4 and we figured that it would make no difference because the crossings are... More

By far the best way to get to Tassie if you are into camping. Cabins are comfortable. Food on board is quite nice. There are things to do if you want to, like movies, pokies and kids stuff.

It was a little pricey and the rooms were a bit dorm-like but it was a nice easy way to get to Tasmania. The seas were a little rough but not bad. You can buy food and snacks on board or bring your own. The tourist office was excellent and booked a few tickets for us. The lady working there... More

Going over two years ago on the ship was great but word of warning, make sure you have something to eat with you as the prices on board are outrageous. Coming back we had to get a cabin - it was disgusting!!! There was hair in the bottom of the shower, toothpaste on mirror and rubbish under the beds. Went... More

Great adventure. If you go over during the day make sure you book a cabin to have your own space and a lie down. A bit to do but can be boring as it's just sea to look at. Great staff.
