Was extremely disappointed by the Melbourne end of the Spirit of Tasmania. Very little communication to customers by check in and bag search areas. Thankfully the staff on board rectified. This is the gateway to the wonderful island of Tasmania and all it beautiful food. Unfortunately this was not showcased onboard by the Captain's table restaurant (very average) Hope more... More

This was my first time on the Spirit of Tasmania. Was very impressed overall. The service was excellent as the staff were helpful and friendly and the prices on board were reasonable.

I travel in a 9 metre motorhome and spend most of summer in Tasmania. The Spirit of Tasmania is really the only way to go — you can bring your own vehicle, sleep in a comfortable room with ensuite and arrive refreshed. Travelled in Aug 14. Had double cabin and twin cabin. All staff on ship and in Melbourne and Davenport were fantastic. Cabins very clean and comfortable. Spirit is the only way we travel when visiting Tassie.
