The recently renovated Spirit of Tasmania is a delightful experience. We had booked a return trip with our from Melbourne with overnight crossings in each direction. The layout of the ship is impressive and there is plenty of space to suit all needs - there is even a quiet area like a library/ sitting room with comfortable leather chairs. For... More

This was the second trip made by my husband and myself, the new refit is really good as the ship now has more seating and easier access to the restaurant. My husband is disabled, the staff were very helpful when loading our car we were directed to a parking space directly by a lift then our cabin was close by.... More

My husband and I traveled from Devonport to Melbourne on the night of the 28th of November. We were traveling with our cat, and on the advice of our vet opted to leave her in our vehicle (ford territory). We purchased a kennel booking ($22) to ensure we would be parked on a well ventilated "pet deck" and highly recommend... More

We crossed from Melbourne to Tasmania with this big boat. Great experience and feel like Tasmania is not part of Australia. Nice food, and good staff. We will do it again:)

We took our car and boarded the Spirit of Tasmania at 7:30 pm from Melbourne. We arrived in Davenport, Tasmania the following morning at 6:00 am. It was a nice trip and we enjoyed our deluxe cabin located at the front of the ship. It was a smooth trip both ways and our stateroom was very comfortable. (robes were proved...a... More

We took our car and boarding and departing ran very smoothly. We had an internal room which was very comfortable and wouldn't bother getting a porthole room as it gets dark before you get a chance to spend anytime in your room. Restaurant is resonably priced and yummy fresh food but can be a bit confising on your first trip.... More

This would have to be the worst meal we have ever experienced in a long time, we were told by an employee ( who was not really interested ) that this was the only restaurant on board now the high class restaurant was no longer, with a take it or leave it attitude. So with the other 1400 passengers who... More

Our first time on the ferry! We had a twin cabin with a porthole which was recommended when booking. Cabins are extremely clean and comfortable. Food is pretty basic, not cheap but edible. Lounge areas and bars are very comfortable. It was rough going over so if you suffer from sea sickness I suggest you take some medication. The return... More

Choose the night sail so we could rest for a night on the sail and prepare to take off the next day. Doesnt want to waste time taking the day sail instead. The room was nice however it was a little too tiny for 4 pax. The dining area was huge and cosy. However as expected the food on board... More
