We had a ball donning our gear and abseiling into the canyon for several hours of canyoning, waterfall jumping and sliding down rock chutes and logs. The water is cold but you are provided with all the wetsuits etc needed, however hands and feet still got quite chilly at times. You do need a level of fitness, more for the... More

Thanks very much for the review. Yep, the water is getting a bit chilli this time of year. We like to think the higher water levels are a more that adequate compensation for that though - makes for extra excitement. Thanks again and hope to see you for another tour in the future. More

Just did the Dove River Gorge canyoning on Wednesday. There was heaps of water so it was very loud in the canyon and and very exciting. This was a huge adventure. Abseiling, jumping off high places into surging waters, being plunged at speed under the water after being shot through a narrow rock crevice and it was all amazing. I've... More

It's the best adventure experience I've had in Tassie! The group leaders were heaps of fun and very knowledgable. Went on this tour back in October 2012 (bit slow getting up with trip advisor sorry) but I had to share my great experience. First time canyoning and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day in this gorgeous location. Highly recommend it to... More

This trip was absolutely amazing!!! The guides were really helpful, fun, and informative. It was so much fun, really beautiful, and filled our need for adventure. We did the Dove Canyon tour. We had never done canyoning before but that was no problem. I would recommend it to absolutely anyone!!

My husband and I have just recently done this tour. I was initially rather frightened of the thought of the jumps, abseiling etc however I was pleasantly surprised. We both had a really great time! The tour was really well organised and so much fun. Of course a little scary at times but we both had complete faith in our... More

my 2 brothers, 3 NZ friends and myself had the BEST BEST fun ever doing the Dove Canyon on Australia Day. Ryan and Oos were our guides - fun, friendly and very professional! I don't think we have properly stopped talking about our trip at CMC since! The photos are hilarious and well worth $40. Loved every jump we came... More

We definitely did not expect to ever find ourselves dressed in head to toe wet suit gear negotiating a river walk (literally) in the stream, surrounded by 1,000 year old pines and huge boulders - but we took the plunge and LOVED it. We opted for the Lost World Canyoning experience.... kind of canyoning "light" - terrific for beginners. Lasts... More

Thanks so much for the review J H. Putting on a wetsuit and jumping into and alpine stream is probably not something you do every day - well done on taking the plunge! More

My husband and I experienced the Dove Canyon experience with Cradle Mountain Canyons on 15th January and would highly recommend it. We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather conditions and a really warm day. Be prepared for physical challenges as you walk to the river carrying your gear, abseil down a rock to the Dove River, make your away... More

We had an amazing day canyoning in Cradle Mountain, one of the highlights of our trip in Tasmania. The guides were really friendly and helpful. We did the hardest experience, in the Dove Canyon, it wasn't that scary but we still lots of fun and adrenaline. You start by abseiling down the canyon, then in total you have to go... More
