Checkout website and understand the requirements for this retreat. Vegetarian food is ok; but I was a meat-lover! Note that no dinner is served - only fruits. Good, clean rooms with comfortable bed (Not 5 star) and efficiently run by groups of volunteers. In the Aussie tradition, the whole retreat is very well run like clock work; wake up at... More

My husband and I both did this amazing ten day retreat and just felt so uplifted and at peace. The centre is a stunning location and the food is amazing and the staff made up of volunteers are just so caring, kind and helpful. I've done lots of courses at Dhamma Bhumi (the other name for the Vipassana Meditation Centre at Blackheath) and it's a beautiful spot to do this extraordinary 10-day silent retreat. The food is fabulous and everyone comes out of the course all shiny and glowing. Try it - it's amazing. There is no fee - the centre runs totally on... More

The ten day course at the academy has been a life changing course for me. Amazing atmosphere. Loved the vibrations around the place. The kind behavior of dhamma sevaks (volunteers)- (They were extremely polite), meditation course scheduled for ten days, Sri Goenkaji's discourses filled my heart with peace and love. Sab ka mangal sab ka kalyan!! It is a must... More

Dhamma Bhumi has got to be the most serene, tranquil place on Earth. I have been going to this Vipassana Meditation Centre for the past 18 years now. Much has changed as the building continually expands to accommodate for the growing number of those seeking self awareness. What hasn't changed is the amazing atmosphere of peace & love. This is...
