Love it

Great place to just hang out, and get a tan. There's really no big rapids just an easy float down the lazy river. Good mix of people college kids and family.

It was a nice float down the river. Along the way a group of boys were making snow cones for the passer byes. It just so happens if your 12 and under children bring back any trash, they get a free ice cream. Free snow cone and free ice cream= happy children. We used a coupon for free put put... More

I love this place, everyone is so nice and the river is lovely. A great blue heron followed us down the river, what a treat that was.

We were first time floaters and the staff was very helpful explaining our options. We went for the 3 mile ride on a raft. Overall it was a great day. Check-in process was smooth, Equipment was well maintained, grounds nice, bus ride fine. The river was a bit low, but okay. We were grounded twice. A bit of sewage smell... More

We take the family only once a year because it is very expensive. We only go on weekdays because it is not nearly as crowded as the weekends. This past summer we had four adults and two eight year olds. We got one canoe and two kayaks. The kids are free in the canoe. We rotate because we all prefer... More

We usually visit Green Acres about 3 times a summer. Over the past couple of years the trips have gotten less and less enjoyable. Now with the overwhelming number of canoes and kayaks that are launched it's like I-75 on Friday afternoon. Wildlife spotting is a waste of time. The amount of drinking, drunkenness and profanity makes it impossible to... More

This is a great stretch of river to paddle. There are several bald eagles to see along the trip, along with other beautiful scenery along the way. The Green Acres Staff is very friendly and helpful. They seem to really care about their customers.

I have a love/hate relationship with Green Acres. My husband and I have been canoeing/kayaking here for several years. The family (I know of the husband, wife, and son) that own the place are awesome -genuinely friendly and attentive. The place was recently renovated and it looks great. You can tell the crowds are increasing from last year which takes... More

Now that our children are older it can be hard to find something to do that everyone enjoys. Our kids are 32-16 years of age. We tried this for my 31 years old twins' birthday. My husband and I got a canoe along with one son and a friend. Three of the kids with friends' and spouse got double kayaks.... More

Traveling in the area and went to the river. You park on a farm and a bus takes you to the location. The price is the same for all boats chosen. You pick from 3 miles or 8 miles. 8 miles took us 3 hours in a canoe and we didn't make any stops like many do on the banks.... More
