This is not an attraction as others but a place to look for a family pet. We took a tour and met several cats and fell in love with one which would not have been suitable for our household and the resident cat. We had a meal in the on site restaurant which was very good and very reasonably priced.

What a fantastic visit my children and I had here today! They are 8 and 10, and as we left they said it had been the best day out ever (and they have a lot)! The most important thing to stress about this place is that you absolutely don't need to be looking to adopt a cat to be able... More

Only domestic house cats and seem to have no interest in Cats in the wild. Appear to be over-funded. Why can't they take the big view of the plight of cat's in the wild.

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed only to find domestic cats here at the National Cat Centre. Our main aims at Cats Protection are the following: Homing - to find loving new homes for the many unwanted or abandoned cats that are taken in to our care, in 2014 Cats Protection helped over 205,000 cats and kittens.... This is a very well run centre for cats that need re-homing. It is extensive in lovely grounds with facilities that are top notch. The staff seem well trained and try to match the cats there to those who are looking. My mother in law wanted a new companion and although early days found a lovely cat. For cat lovers it... More

A real find, not just for cat lovers!! There is something for everyone. Beautiful surroundings, lots of wildlife (we saw foxes and squirrels ) and a nature trail too. The kitties are so well looked after by a team of dedicated staff (paid and volunteers ), admin and hands on too. And the cafe sells delicious freshly baked delectables. Oh...and... More

Lovely cafe, friendly and helpful staff and a lovely shop to browse in with lots of lovely gifts including paintings of cats Plenty of useful information on cats and their welfare... More

Good place to take the grandchildren for a couple of hours. You can look at all the cats that are up for adoption and even buy one and give it a good home. There is a gift shop, play area for young children and a cafe, limited menu, but fine for a light lunch or tea and cakes. Also a... More

I got forced to visit by my daughter. I did enjoy it though. It's a working establishment whose main aim is to care for cats & then find them homes. Very well informed & friendly staff. A great cafe attached. About an hour is enough. No entry fee but donations are welcome of course.

Lovely day out to see the cats ready for adoption. Tasty freshly made lunch and divine cake for aafternoon tea. Sweet little gift shop and play area. Will be going back and may even visit the nature trail at the back next time.

We found this place by chance in a leaflet about Susses when we were staying for a few days. It was lovely to see the cats - it was very clean & none of the cats looked stressed or unhappy. There are three wings to view and then a shop and cafe. We had a really nice cup of coffee... More
