The staff here run an amazing centre and they should be proud of the work they're doing. I hope to be a cat adopter before the end of the year and have been here a number of times to see the cats as well as helping my parents choose theirs, which they collect next week. The centre is always clean... More

This is a great place to visit for a cup of tea after a lovely long walk on Ashdown Forest. The cakes are fantastic! There's a small shop with both gifts and pet food, comfy seats so you can spend some time, play things for children and not to be forgotten, plenty of cats for adoption. I would challenge a... More

Caring staff, great facilities, expert vets, our present moggy was sourced from them and she has been a delight. Some folks volunteer as "cat cuddlers" to keep them used to being around folks. Should you go there to provide a cat a good home then do give VERY generously, they deseve it for the work they do.

Didn't know the Centre was on Trip Advisor. Our visit was quite a while ago in looking to offer a home to a cat, young or old. The setting is lovely, a nature walk in the grounds, and the building is very impressive but it seemed perhaps a little too sterile, to us anyway. Viewing cats behind glass panels is... More

Visited with some friends to see some cats(and think about adopting one)! Really was impressed with the friendliness of staff and how you were able to wonder around and see the cats! If you are into cats (or even not into them that much) pop by. Will be returning!

We often visit here as we have supported Cats Protection since 1979 when we adopted our first cat. The cats are exceptionally well looked after but all wanting loving homes. We have been tempted a number of times but are holding back for a while as we are mourning the loss of our last 2 much loved cats to cancer.... More

This is not an attraction as others but a place to look for a family pet. We took a tour and met several cats and fell in love with one which would not have been suitable for our household and the resident cat. We had a meal in the on site restaurant which was very good and very reasonably priced.

What a fantastic visit my children and I had here today! They are 8 and 10, and as we left they said it had been the best day out ever (and they have a lot)! The most important thing to stress about this place is that you absolutely don't need to be looking to adopt a cat to be able... More

Only domestic house cats and seem to have no interest in Cats in the wild. Appear to be over-funded. Why can't they take the big view of the plight of cat's in the wild.

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed only to find domestic cats here at the National Cat Centre. Our main aims at Cats Protection are the following: Homing - to find loving new homes for the many unwanted or abandoned cats that are taken in to our care, in 2014 Cats Protection helped over 205,000 cats and kittens....
