I have visited the Rose theatre on a few occasions, the last being a week ago. That was to see my sons secondary school drama group portray Shakespeare's A Midsummer Nights Dream. It is a great venue to visit to see local talent and professionally produced plays and there is more than one stage to run concurrent performances. It is... More

The BEST time to come to London, especially Kingston Upon Thames, is to visit the International Youth Arts Festival!!!!! This festival really transforms Kingston by displaying different cultures, traditions and entertainment for 3 weeks. The people, the food and the environment really makes you want to stay even more

My sister and I visited The Rose Theatre for the first time this afternoon to see the penultimate performance of Agatha Christie's "The Secret Adversary". The venue itself is super as it is located the south side of the Market Square area and therefore ideal for parking/transport links and a variety of pre-theatre restaurants. I liked the venue as it... More

We've been to see a few plays here now, and 'An audience with Brian Blessed', what a legend he is! The staff are all very friendly and the bar is reasonable priced. Seats are comfortable and there's a range of prices. We will go again.

The Rose Theatre, Kingston, to the west of central London is a smallish (900 seats) venue built to copy the floor plan of the original Rose (near the Globe) where plays by Marlowe and Shakespeare were originally performed. It's comfortable, friendly, and very reasonably priced. We were there on a Saturday evening to see a revival of David Hare's "The... More

The Rose has some very good performances .....and some not so good but as it is a modern theatre the seating is comfortable and views are all mostly excellent. The bar/cafe is also good but getting anything in the interval is pretty difficult ......stick to ice cream!

This theatre is located next to the Thames river and close to main car parks in Kingston. The seating are fantastic with a good view of the stage from all around. There is a little café with drinks and cakes.

We always enjoy our trips to the Rose - the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed, the productions good and although the bench seats are unusual actually find them more comfortable than many seats in both local and West End theatres - there is also plenty of leg room.
