We had a very enjoyable cruise from Richmond (pier is by White Cross pub) to Hampton Court (changing boat at Kingston - when there is a change the skippers ensure that they coincide so that passengers can change boats both ways). Trip takes about 1 hour 45 minutes each way. On a fine day, as this was, nothing could be... More

I have done this trip more than once from Richmond to Hampton court palace this is a great way to relax on a Sunday friendly staff and if you're lucky a guided tour from the river with a bit of banter thrown in ,well worth £ 9:60 return you can also take drink from one boat to the other so... Spent 2 glorious hours on the Thames. The boat is quite cosy with mostly indoor seating. If you want to sit out the back you need to be almost first on board. We were lucky and got to sit outside in the sunshine. You go through Teddington Lock which reminded me of my time cruising on the Shannon River. The... More

We had to travel from East Croydon to Richmond by British Rail against all expectations this was a seamless journey. We found our way to the river and more by luck than judgement we located Turks Pier..Dont expect a huge banner proclaiming your departure point ,its very low key ,having said that a queue started to form. The boat arrived... More

On a nice sunny day you can't beat getting a boat down to Hampton Court Palace. You can park in Kingston (you can't park near the palace usually), wander through through the town, through the apple market with its pop up food stalls and traditional fruit n veg and on towards the river where you will join the Queens Promenade.... I arranged a surprise birthday for my wife, which went off fantastically. The arrangements went smoothly and on the day the staff were very accommodating on the Yarmouth Belle. Also their preferred caterers - Chillie Bee were great with lovely food and staff.

Took the boat from Kingston Upon Tham,es on a glorious sunny morning to Hampton Court Palace. Quite busy onboard but not crowded or uncomfortable. Lovely slow cruise with plenty to see and vary reasonable.

Took the boat from Hampton Court to Kingston on Thames, a nice glass of wine while watching the beautiful scenery go past, followed by a pleasant stroll around Kingstons shops and market. Then a trip along the other bank on the way back. If you have time while visiting Hampton Court Palace a worthwhile add on

I've always wanted to try a boat ride up the Thames and yesterday we did. We took the trip from Kingston to Richmond and back, the journey was about an hour each way and we had a couple of hours to spend drinking wine and eating cheese from the market by the riverside in Richmond. The staff on the boat... More

If you find yourself in Richmond and have a couple of hours to spare, take a cruise upriver to Kingston. Boats take about 2 hours to get there and back, having to navigate Teddington lock in both directions. There's plenty of space on the double, decked mock paddle steamer and there's a bar. Only downside is there is no outdoor upper... More
