The park is well worth a visit but it is difficult to find an open gate that allows cars to enter. SATNAV will find a gate but motorise entry is allowed via Sheen Gate.

I used this park for many years for Marathon training the designated path is 7 miles if you actualy go round the edge it is nearer 10. Three laps is a good 20 mile training run. Clockwise is easier the anticlock. The park has deer, a lot of wildflife, a stables near by for riding, and is free to all.... More

First time in Richmond park with my family, I was blown away with how huge it is! Driving across it was 2 miles...no wonder it's hugely popular with cyclists, dog walkers and the like. Firstly we went into Roehampton gate as we had pre-booked bikes. (see my review of Parcycle) Had what seemed like a huge cycle round, spotted deer,... More

One of my most favorite places we visited! This is a gorgeous park we visited on the way back from Hampton Court Palace. The deer were amazing! We had tea and scones at Pembroke Lodge which was gorgeous and a perfect place to have a cuppa.

Good playground for children, and lots of space for flying kites. Had lovely afternoon with children and friends.

With numerous gardens within this park, make sure if you do go with others, that you are teamed up with adventurous people. Im lucky enough to live very close and still don't know the park inside out. Take the whole day there, feed deer from your hands, take a picnic and make sure you take full advantage of the photo... Richmond Park boast huge space in London with wild deer roaming around. They get used to human beings but we need to be cautious to approach them as unexpected matters might happen. I would say walking around in the park is the best experience rather than driving through.
