Richmond Park was the hunting domaine of the royals for centuries and, in fact, some royals still live in the park. The remains of the royal deer herds still roam the land. There is an extensive network of trails, and around the outside of the park an excellent bicycle path that is used heavily winter and summer. If you enjoy... More

I have lived over the wall from this park for 25 years and it never fails to make me happy when strolling through with the dog! Such a beautiful place shame about the cyclists.

Truly fabulous. More national park than a standard park such is it's size. I don't know another city that has such a large slice of nature sitting right alongside all the granite and steel. Such is it's vastness that once you are a few hundred metres inside one of it's half dozen gates, you forget the city is outside. Only... More

We visited Richmond Park on a very cold but sunny day for a 2 hour walk. We left the main road and walked through the park to the lakes. A walk in the park is ideal for exercise and relaxation, and we also came across the deer who were resting in the sun. We would definitely visit again for a... More

The most glorious place for walking, cycling or getting away from the hubbub of the city and suburban life. Don't just stick to the perimeter road which you have to share with cars but get on to the non motor vehicle roads in the middle of the park for a quieter and even more spectacular ride. Unbelievable to think that... More

It's a huge park with dear and trees and duck ponds and all that you'd expect. Visit in the summer and stroll from ice cream van to ice cream van. Bliss.

London and the suburbs never cease to amaze with the amount of green space that exists for people to enjoy, whether that's visually or actively. Richmond is no exceptions with access to Richmond Park, Old Deer Park and the Thames that allows you to walk to Twickenham and other places. We chose to walk around Richmond Park which had the... A great place for walking and having some peace away from the hustle and bustle of city life, family friendly and large enough to lose several hours in. A must visit for park and heritage lovers.
