Three generations of family met here on Saturday for a picnic. (Parking charge - £4 for 3 hours). The children loved the natural adventure playground, riding their scooters on the paved walks, watching Go Ape participants, and enjoyed the Sculpture family trail. As the adults chatted, the children had fun playing in the mud with sticks and building little "campfires"... More

A great place to take the kids for an adventure. Alice Holt Forest has so much to do for both Kids and Adults but the Go Ape for both Adults and kids is brilliant. My kids love the Junior Go-Ape but go early as it gets really busy.

We have visited Alice Holt several times, and it is consistently good. Lots of long walks, a few surprises and just a great escape. A great way to give the dog a good walk before retiring to a local pub for lunch

We drove out of West London as part of my partners Mothers Day celebration. The weather was excellent and the traffic lighter than expected. The car park was nearly full when we arrived and we discovered that a dog show and other attractions had been arranged for that day. It was busy in that area but our little dog enjoyed... More

Brilliant walk for all the family. I visited Alice Holt forest on Sunday morning with my adult daughter and our dog. The adventure through the forest is a free activity. When we went the car parking was also free although I believe often there is a small charge. We had a lovely 1.1/2 walk along the footpaths, through the tree's... More

I walk for two hours at least twice a week, sometimes 3 x so like to vary the venues, this is possible within Alice Holt and at the moment with all the rain we have had, there are sufficient paths to allow reasonably easy walking, very little mud. There are also woodland paths outside of the popular main forest area,... More

Visited this Forrest on Saturday with several family members including children. We set off on the trail from the totem pole and found it lovely with several activities for the children en route. Walking through the Forrest was lovely and picturesque with little streams running through it. The trails are easy to walk along even with a pushchair . Our... More

Generally a great place for a walk and to take the children. The downsides are it is becoming a bit too over developed and less natural - which may work for some people. The car park charges are becoming incredibly expensive - more like parking in a town centre

We come here all the time. for walks with the family, with friends, just an afternoon when the kids are bored, to get you strength back after a cold. They have loads of planned activities throughout the year. Take a leaflet at the car park. great little cafe, good bicycle hire, Go Ape. play ground for all ages. plenty to... More

I love taking my kids here for a walk/bike ride. Parking on sunny days can sometimes be busy, but it's a beautiful place with a lovely cafe if you don't feel like packing your own picnic. We have hired bikes there too in the past which was also great fun with the kids. Fantastic playground and the nature trail walk... More
