If you are in the area this is a must do, it is rammed full of beautiful items and interesting things. It is deceptive as it houses more that it looks like it might and for those lovers of vintage both in reality and looks this is a must see

Went last week and though the place looks amazing it is really just rammed full with cheap reproduction tat mass produced in Tawain and China. Quality items are rare with the occasional upmarket Greengate from Denmark but in the main a big let down. Fig cafe though nicely laid out was exceptionally cold and every customer had coats or scarves... More

We hadn't been to The Packhouse for about four years, and had almost forgotten how much 'stuff' they sell! The place is a positive rabbit warren, and it's very easy to get lost, but a very pleasant place in which to do so. It's a delicious mix of antique, recycled, shabby-chic, repro and bang-harry-spankers, and if only I had a... More

We first came across The Packhouse some 8 years ago, when we were restoring a 200+year-old cottage and were looking for feature pieces of furniture in the 'shabby-chic' idiom, together with soft furnishings and detail pieces etc.- the whole shebang. I don't think I'd be misleading you to say that, over the 3-4 years it took to complete our labour... More

Not dissapointed yet again, 4th time I have visited this amazing place. Different on every visit. which all leads to the excitement. One could spend many hours in this place and not see it all. We looked around then had a lovely lunch at the Fig Cafe then another look around to select our purchases before late afternoon tea before... More

I went to visit the Packhouse today with wife and son. What a disappointment the cafe was. Firstly, before ordering I asked the lady behind the counter if the cafe accepted cards ... She confirmed that they did. She asked me to sit down and informed me that someone would be over to take my order. It was fairly busy... More

The Pack House is an Antiques Barn with Hair/beauty salon and cafe. You can spend a good few hrs or half a day there. They have a lovely little cafe that serves a good selection of breakfast, brunch, lunch and snacks or just go for a coffee at a reasonable price. It would suit a vintage style cafe due to... More

I last went to The Packhouse about twenty years ago and it was an interesting place, had some genuine antiques and objets de vertu. I returned this week and, although a lot of money had obviously been spent on renovating the building and adding a cafe and Beauty Room, there was nothing of any interest unless you are looking for... The shop itself is full of nice enough things but you would be stretching it to call any more than 5% of them antiques. The items are all over priced and from past experience not always great quality. The Fig Cafe has all the potential to be a great little place but the service is appalling! We don't generally do...
