The Pack House is an Antiques Barn with Hair/beauty salon and cafe. You can spend a good few hrs or half a day there. They have a lovely little cafe that serves a good selection of breakfast, brunch, lunch and snacks or just go for a coffee at a reasonable price. It would suit a vintage style cafe due to... More

I last went to The Packhouse about twenty years ago and it was an interesting place, had some genuine antiques and objets de vertu. I returned this week and, although a lot of money had obviously been spent on renovating the building and adding a cafe and Beauty Room, there was nothing of any interest unless you are looking for... The shop itself is full of nice enough things but you would be stretching it to call any more than 5% of them antiques. The items are all over priced and from past experience not always great quality. The Fig Cafe has all the potential to be a great little place but the service is appalling! We don't generally do... Quaint and unusual building, recommended by family to see and wasn't disappointed. Good selection of pretty unusual stock to go with the building and the staff were friendly - even their office IT guy helped out with moving some heavy furniture. Good value food and drink in the cafe too, a very functional (if a little out of the way)... More

I have been going to the Packhouse for a couple of years now and am sorry to say it's not as good as it used to be. The stuff in there is very samey, there are only a few antiques and a lot of over priced new things you can get anywhere. However the building is lovely, and the cafe... More

Dear Helen Thank you very much for writing a review about The Packhouse. Unfortunately you have visited at a transitional period, as we have significantly reduced our stock levels to accommodate a refurbishment programme, which is due to start on 21st July. I have noted your comments regarding the floor staff, my apologies you did not find them as courteous... More

My cousin and I visited this lovely place last year, and we're coming back again soon for another visit. It's amazing! so many lovely things to look at and a great revamped café. Can't wait to come back...

Had a fantastic afternoon at The Packhouse. Lovely cream tea in relaxed surroundings. Reasonably priced antiques and collectables. Outstanding selection of quirky 'garden bits' I bought a stunning small patio set. I can thoroughly recommend this, you really must go and have a look - it won't 'break the bank'. Excellent easy car parking. I will definitely be re-visiting.

A lovely place to meet up with friends. Coffee to start in Cafe Fig then a meander around the beautiful 400 year old hop farm to find those wonderful unique one off items you won't find on the high street. Follows by lunch with something tempting on the special's board back in Cafe Fig. A little more retail therapy makes... More

Gorgeous shop, so much to see and such a range, something for everyone both new and vintage, expensive and reasonable. Lovely cafe next door, well worth a visit.
