Walking through the Castle Grounds every weekend is a joy, thanks to Tamworth Castle standing proud. The flower beds are changed regular, so the view when the sun is shinning is quite special. The castle has events on that you can attend, or just wander around and soak up some local history.

Having a spare afternoon whilst visiting Tamworth for a music weekend, I was pleased to see that the Castle was open on a January Saturday. The £7 entry fee was worth every penny for a tour which took in everything from the dungeon to the "With"drawing room and covered 10 centuries of the history associated with this fascinating place. Thoroughly... More

An excellent museum which although compact is well laid out with lots of interesting items and information. A good section for dressing up for both children and adults (who doesn't want to dress up as a knight no matter what age you are!). Useful interactive displays and also brass rubbing. It looks small from the outside but you can spend... More

Need to give yourself time to go round the castle! As we was in the main park area playing with the children when we decided to go and have a look inside. Was a great few hours spent looking around the castle and having a go of all the activities provided. Very educational an engaging for all. My sons 3&11... More

I wasn't sure what to expect when going round Tamworth Castle with two young children but I was pleasantly surprised! - They were engaged with the exhibits and the fun of exploring each room. The trip to the roof was one of the high points to look out over Tamworth - It's amazing how high up you end up being!!
