We all enjoyed the castle. Good displays full of interesting information and the children (aged 9 & 5) loved the 'please touch' and interactive options around the castle.

Took my daughters and granddaughters to the castle for the first time and amazed that it's in such good nick. My granddaughters dressed up in their princess dresses and that was all it took for them to believe that they really were princesses. There was a lady there dressed in a lovely dress and tiara so the kids thought she... More

Visited in august with family. I was surprised how well kept the castle was and I found the visit very interesting. It is brilliant for adults learning the history and great for kids to play the games around the castle and also try on outfits. Price to get in was reasonable and there is a small cafe in the premises... More

Tamworth (along with Ashby) is my "Local" Castle, but I do not get along there that often. There has been money spent here recently (ticketing/gate entrance), clearing of embankment, new toilets (great by the way!). The Castle is very atmospheric, loads of rooms, corridors, walkways, etc and a great view from the tower. It may not suit everyone, those with... More

Good for kids, small and crowded with not much atmosphere. Worth a quick visit if in Tamworth but otherwise....

This castle is not very big but is lovely to look round. If you are taking children I would advise it's probably best suited for over 7 years old to keep their interest.

Visited the castle on many occasions and there always seems to be something I missed from the last visit that I get engrossed in. Tamworth Castle is a great example of a motte & bailey castle.

We had our wedding in and it was beautiful. The weather was really poor and the castle made provision for me to get into my dress there so it wasnt ruined which meant a lot. The staff were extreamly kind and helpful and professional. I would recommend the venue to anyone getting married it was perfect!

Educational without being boring. Lots of hands on activities and a great quiz for the children to do. Friendly staff. Stunning views from the top of the tower.
