I walked past the castle flower beds yesterday on a short visit to Tamworth and I couldn't believe the number of plants on show. It was fantastic to see, in fact I had to stop and take photos. I didn't have time to go into the castle itself but it's worth a visit for the flower beds alone at this... More

We went here on a Groupon voucher but even without I think it would be good value for money. Lots of stuff you can pick up from axes, to pretend Tudor food to dressing up in wigs and armoury. Plenty to look at and see and lots of areas for children to get hands on. Climb the stairs up the... More

First visit using a Groupon voucher for my wife and I - much more to see than you think - a real home - also interactive and encourages youngsters to dress up with clothes provided - also had a story teller there when we went - car park nearby only max 2 hours parking -we thoroughly enjoyed our visit as... Disappointed that the castle was closed on our visit, nice grounds. Got some cracking pictures from outside though

I liked the fact that there was quite a few areas that encouraged children to be able to play and touch items. Massive playground outside was a bonus!

Went here on a Groupon Deal, Paid Very Little, so worked out excellent value for us. Normal price £7 per adult still OK. Not a large place but interesting in that everything still all there, not a Ruin! Everything is inside the circular defensive curtain wall, Furnished Rooms, Exhibitions etc.Part of the Famous recent Staffordshire Saxon Hoard, Gold items found... More

When visiting Tamworth the Castle is a well worth attraction for Adults & Children alike. Rather a climb to the entrance means that anyone with a disability will find it quite hard. I myself have been into the Castle many times but suddenly becoming disabled & having to use a mobilty scooter feel disappointed . No matter how many times... More

Great day out especially for a rainy day - but don't think of it as a venue ONLY for a rainy day. Good for families, young boys "in a castle?" Fantastic. It is also great for children who like learning!

£21.00 for a family (4) ticket so not wildly expensive. you can have a guided tour if you want. We are local to Tamworth but havn't been to the castle for a number of years. For a small castle there is quite a lot to see & take in. 2-3 hours I would say for a good visit. there is... More
