This is just the most fabulous place if like me you have sons who are interested in any aspect of aviation and the military. My son likes to go here at least 3 or 4 times a year and never gets disappointed or bored. The attractions are brilliant, and its spread out beautifully. Only one downside and that is the... More

Great Museum. Recent visits in recent years with son (History undergraduate),daughter(Air Cadet) and myself for a Gerry Anderson. Great exhibition of 1950's British jets from a time when we were years ahead of our American friends.

This is an excellent collection of historical aeroplanes, but they has packed them in so tightly that it is impossible to really appreciate most of them. The fact that they have brought them all indoors is important, but the Cold war exhibition especially was a disappointment. For example, it is difficult to appreciate the three main V Bombers, which really... More

Although, for some reason, this is appearing under the Birmingham section, in reality it is nowhere near Birmingham. You could get the train followed by a 1/2 mile walk but a car and a 30 minute drive (don't get on the M6 between 7 and 9 and 4 and 6 or allow double that time) is really the best option... More

We went here for the day and what a super place, there lots to see and plenty for the kids, i suppose an interest in aviation and history would help but even the wife thought it very good. Its spread over several hangers with some really good quality displays. Best of all its free to enter, we took a picnic but... More

There's a great selection of aircraft on display, with plenty of information for all ages to find something of interest. My nephews loved the interactive area even though they're really a little young to fully appreciate it. There's a cafe on site for refreshments and apart from a small charge for the car park, it costs nothing for entry. Well... More

This place is great, kids love it! There is loads to see and learn about planes, war, politics, and science. There are 4 big hangers to get round, and lots of information geared towards different levels of interest/age. For those with kids, there is a really good interactive play space to teach kids about the science behind aeronautics. Was nice... More

Really well laid out, great area to teach people about the physics of flight. Lots to see and it's free. Yes there is a small charge for parking but it's outstanding value. Well worth another visit.
