This attraction is free, yet it's really impressive. You could easily fill a whole day here or just have a wander around. It is full of information from the beginning of aviation, through the wars, the Cold War and to the present day. I highly recommend the 4D experience. We watch Red Baron - great fun! Payment is required for... More

Great exhibits and lots of information. Some aircraft that can't be found in other museums. Excellent facilities for all age groups

A fabulous collection of aircraft, well worth a visit. Some real rarities, Vulcan, Valiant, Victor a TSR2, V1, V2, suicide bombers, biplanes, Flying Flea, Nimrod, Comet, Argosy etc, etc etc. There are many engines, missiles, cut-away examples, things to do for the kids, flight simulators (the 4D is brilliant, 3D images, stereo sound, real smoke, flashing lights, touchy-feely effects) The... We loved the history of the items displayed but found that they were crammed in together rather than haveing suitable space to view each item on its own. Also the staff could try and smile a bit more.

The museum is absolutely fantastic, especially the Cold War section. Bring your own food though, the catering is mediocre, exceptionally overpriced and the staff rude and unhelpful.

This is a hidden gem of a place - anyone interested in flight, Cold War, WW1 and WW2 must go to this place - it is free entry, it takes a full day to get round and it hardly promotes itself. Cafe and cofdfee stops.

I enjoy taking the kids to Cosford, it's great value for money and the kids love looking at all the different planes, helicopters, rockets and other vehicle's as well as playing with the interactive things. My only criticism is I wish they would have plane's open to the public to allow you to go in and explore them further.

We often visit this museum on a rainy day when our son is on a school break. The museum is easy to find and well signposted along the M54. The attraction is free, you only have to pay for the parking, alternatively you can catch a train, RAF Cosford has it's own railway station. Plenty of well kept exhibits to... More
