Stunning beach

This place was truly stunning. The sand so fine, beautiful beach. Great selection of wild flowers on the dunes. Well worth a visit.

White sands, beautiful landscape, great for a walk. One of the best beeches in the UK. The last time I was there it was very windy but still exceptionally beautiful.

Wonderful...But want to keep it a secret.. Quite a walk, but wonderful fine, white sands and huge blue and red clam shells... plus sometimes dozens of seals at the point...

Long white sands with beautiful views, ideal for picnics, walks and family fun. Any journey north includes a detour to Bamburgh and a trip to the beach!

Ross Back Sands are found by walking across farmland for about 0.8 miles. The walk is pleasant through cows and sheep. The view that awaits you when you reach the sands is breathtaking, with views to Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle to the north and to Bamburgh Castle to the south. You can walk for miles and hardly ever meet... More

This was recommended by the landlord where we rented. Parking was minimal and it was a long walk across a tarmac'd path in a cow field then over dunes - but it was worth it. Great long stretch of beach. We went early evening so just walked about a bit then rested in the dunes with the dog looking out... More

Beautiful part of the country . The sandy beach goes on forever . Dogs are allowed on the beach but as it is so huge this isn't a problem to people who don't like dogs .

No facilities, quite a walk from the nearest place to park, but a beautiful place to visit. We were staying at a nearby farm and noticed that the beach is not signposted, and there is no official car park. Folks were just parking on the verge of the nearest roads. The beach is long and lovely and dune backed.

Please don't take the dog here. They have to be on the lead and by the shore at all times. And, even then, they can still disturb nesting birds and seals. There are umpteen other beaches you can go to. Also, be aware that is a 1 mile walk from the car. Having said that, it is a gorgeous beach... More
