Best beach we have ever been on in England, the trek is well worth it, we dragged 2 prams here not expecting all the huge sand dunes lol but we managed it, no shops or anything so take drinks and snacks and the waves are brilliant so take a towel! Perfect location to sunbath and plenty of beach for the... More

Hubby and I are visitors to this beautiful beach once or twice yearly. After the hike over the dunes, an amazing view unfolds, the fantastic view both north and south of this lovely beach. We've visited on glorious days and on those affected by the chilly off-sea breeze. Never deterred by the weather, we just vary our attire! We've never... More

The 3/4 mile walk from your car to this gorgeous beach is worth every footstep, it just takes your breath away and it is hard to understand how it is always so deserted, but that's fine with me! A fabulous way to spend your day try it.

What a beach, you have to walk a mile over fields and dunes after parking the car but when you first see the beach it is breathtaking. Views to Holy Island one way and Bamburgh Castle the other and miles of clean golden sand. Be warned though, there are no services at all, what you get is sea, sand, views... More

An absolute gem of a find! Beautiful beach, fabulous walk over the dunes to reach it and completely unspoilt. No facilities, but that's what makes it so stunning. Spent hours here, whilst visiting the area over Easter. Simply fabulous!!!

One of the most spectacular beaches we have been to with great views to holy island, the farne islands and bamburgh castle.Clean white sand, wide beaches and hardly a soul to be seen!. Take the road North of Bamburgh and follow directions for Easington grange, there is a telephone box on the right and Ross Farm is signposted to the right, you park the... More

Staying at Ross cottages (part of the Outchester & Ross group of 17 cottages - stay there, you will love it!) gave us a "heads up" on this unbelievable beach. For those not fortunate enough to be staying at one of the cottages, there's a small parking area, just before you enter Ross Farm. Okay, it's a 20/30 minute walk... More

We recently spent a week in Northumberland with our dogs. I can honestly say that the coastline in this area is spectacular, long stretches of pristine sand, huge sandunes, crystal clear waters....amazing. We enjoyed Bamburgh, small town with a spectacular castle overlooking it and the sea. It was free parking and terrific walks all around it. Go there...have a paddle...chill... More

Looking for a sandy beach to walk our dogs and think I found the best in the country. It was unspoilt clean and quiet, we have travelled up and down England but this is the best beach by far

We were staying in the area at Christmas and often walked on the beach. The coastline here is fantastic, it has not been ruined with arcades, Donkey rides and sea side town tattoo shops! It is unspoilt and beautiful. I can imagine it being wonderful in the summer
