Along with Bamburgh and Budle Bay beaches in the area, this is the perfect beach, with great sand, great views and great waves to play in. Access is from the roadside near to Seahouses by climbing down the cliff path.

A beautiful shallow beach with golden sands that are perfect for all beach activities, from sunbathing to kite surfing.

If you get good weather there is nothing like a good British beach. We were lucky enough to get beautiful weather so we're able to get onto this idyllic beach most days during our fortnight in Bamburgh. It's dog friendly as there is space for everyone and it is that space which makes this beach special. Our dogs can't wait... More

Such a lovely spot. Loads of space for you to be apart from other visitors, great views behind to the Castle and out to the Farne Islands. A great day out all in all, perfect for a picnic and a paddle.

This is perhaps my favourite beach in England as it is quieter then most and has pleasant sand. The views however are what made me give this beach 5 stars (the castle in the hill is perfectly placed.) Also, when I visited the car park was free (I don't know if this was a one off or a permanent price.)

Awesome, stunning, Amazing! This beach is all these. A short walk through the dunes and you come across one of the best beaches I've been to around the UK. White soft sand gives way to a fantastic flat CLEAN beach- with no shingle, pebbles or rocks. Great for families of all ages, or Romantic walks, or walking the dog! Wondeful... More

If you want a beach with easy access, lots of amenities (toilets, chip shops, Kiss me quick hat shops) then a trip to this beach is not for you. But if you want wonderful sands on an idyllic coastline ravaged by nature and steeped in history then I can recommend St Aiden. Yes I agree it’s not the most easily... More

Lovely beach, spacious and clean. There is always a quiet spot to be found. Lots of grassy dunes to walk around too.

We walked from Seahouses down to the beach and it is absolutely fantastic! The sea is so clear and everywhere is very clean. Dogs are allowed off the leash. It was very hot but the beach wasn't crowded. Fabulous!

This beach is 1 word ..... stunning. Forget spending hours at airports to get to overpacked trashy beaches get in the car and get to St Aidens beach. With the castle as your backdrop and miles of sea infront of you its an amazing place. Dogs are welcome. The beach is massive so plenty of room for everyone. If you... More
