This is beautiful, in early summer (approx early June), not very busy and ideal for a picturesque stroll. The thick sand drifts can make access difficult near Banburgh Castle for the less mobile, would like to see one of the beautiful sunsets in mid summer to make even better!

We decided to get away from all the commercialisation of Christmas this year so booked a nice little cottage in Bamburgh for the week. When I say that this was our best Xmas ever, I'm really not kidding. No crowds, no supermarkets, no hassle, no shops playing "I wish it could be Christmas every day". Bliss. The beach is stunning... A stunning beach of epic proportions! We walked from Seahouses along to Bamburgh Castle and back - a walk of around 6-7 miles but it doesn't seem so far at the time as the views are so nice. A bridge at the Brock Burn would be good to avoid damp feet but other than that, it's perfection.

With the backdrop of bamburgh castle and the faroe islands and holy island out to sea it is a perfect beach to walk in any weather. It is also one of the cleanest beaches i have walked on.

Big wide open beach underneath the castle. Lovely for a long dog walk in any weather. Carparks nearby, but no other apparent facilities.

So pretty and large beach on low tide. Beautiful in sunset. I think we spend more than hour just running and taking funny photos here. Good parking spaces next to it. Just remember to dress warm and wind proof clothes if it's a cold weather. Amazing!

After having a short break in Scotland we stopped off here to let our dog run about on the way back home. An absolutely beautiful beach, so much space and very clean!

Loved this beach, weather was inclement but it didn't dampen the beauty of this place, clean sands, no litter, plenty of dogs but no mess, beautiful coastal walk
