Without doubt one if the best beaches ever. Lovely views of lindisfarne and bamburgh castle. The only negative being that none of the local cafés accepted dogs inside which on a cold winters day kept them empty!

without a doubt this is one of the best sandy beaches Ive ever been on. The beach has parking facilities and has sand dunes for some protection from the wind. What a view of Bamburgh Castle. Why not have a walk all the way to Seahouses.

We walked along the beach on a beautiful October morning and took in the wonderful surroundings. It's a vast beach with brilliant views of Bamburgh Castle. We parked by the road and walked through one of the paths down through the grassy sand dunes. It was early on a Saturday morning and there was only a handful of people about,... More

What a wonderful beach. We spent a happy hour at sunset and were wowed by the amazing views. Windy and sunny, blue sky, blue seas, clean white sand.

The beach has a short road with a few small parking places and an easy walk down to the sand. There is a lighthouse building at the north end and wonderful views of Bamburgh Castle to the south. The rock outcrop below the lighthouse has a painted white stag and is know locally as Stags Rock. Great for rock pools... More

A lovely beach with sandy dunes at Bamburgh overlooked by the very impressive castle. A popular place with locals and visitors alike. The beach just seems to go on for miles and miles. Plenty of parking close by. If you visit the castle the car park is close to one of several footpaths that takes you across the sand dunes... More

A wonderful beach, huge with lovely sand. This on top of the fantastic backdrop of Bamburgh Castle meant we really enjoyed our visit. It is easy to get to from the village and/or the main village car park and we incorporated a visit with lunch in Bamburgh.

This beach is best in GB it is clean tidy and umspoild with fab view out across the water. If you like place that is not over crowded and free to wak your dogs then this is the place to be. Kids love the clean sand and the cold sea.

An absolutely beautiful beach totally ruined by the hoards of unruly dogs everywhere! We were unable to let our children aged two and three play as dogs continually pestered them, jumped on them and ran up to them. My little boy was knocked over by a huge dog which had run off and was screaming, when the owners appeared we... More
