We go to this theatre often for all sorts of shows. It is cozy and well served by knowledgeable, interested staff, a nice bar, plenty of parking.

We took our young children to see Paul Daniels and Debbie Mcgee. Being mindful of their age, I selected a 'box' upstairs (in case my 4 year old lost interest/was too interested!). The front of house staff couldn't have been more helpful and the view of the stage was great. It was a shame that there weren't more bums on... More

I have visited this theatre several times in the last year as it is attracting some very good acts (Some excellent 60's groups). A compact theatre with a good all round view for everyone, staff are very friendly and helpful and not to long to queue at the bar considering how many are waiting. One good idea is that pre show... £23 for a comedy show seems expensive to me, & I object to the £2 'booking fee' which seems customary these days. When I go for a pint, I don't expect to pay for the beer and then have to add a 'buying fee'. I get their schedule for the year, but there is little of interest for me, local... More

We booked cinema tickets for a showing at the Lighthouse. The receptionist was very pleasant, but we weren't sure where to go, there was no-one to point us in the right direction. We ended up as the only 2 people sitting in an auditorium and hoping we were in the right pace. Also,, we could not find the toilets, the... More

We visited the Lighthouse Theatre around April 2014 to see Jim Davidson & Richard Digance. Basically all I wanted to say is that it's the most comfortable theatre that I've ever been in. Seats are fixed and padded so make for a very pleasant evening.

I have often thought there is a problem with sound system here. At the panto it was dreadful. Screechingly loud and quite painful. My 4 year old started to cry immediately and we had to leave. He is always fine at other shows and theatres. I contacted theatre by 'e' mail and twitter to complain and ask for a refund... More

Went to see this show with my family and friends, and what a show. It started with entertainers in the theatre foyer, which set the mood for a fun evening. I understand that the theatre is under new management and unlike previous visits the atmosphere was fun; friendly and gave a great buzz and that was before we had taken... More

Excellent venue and greatly improved over recent months. The shows and events are getting better everyday it's so good to be able to see the real acts and also tribute act's. food is now available on the bar which is a vast improvement if your feeling a little peckish.
