I visit Wicksteed park most days as I walk my dog. From my lounge window I can see across to the park. It is beautifully kept and at present improvement work continues. The lake is a haven for wild birds and a walk round it is an education in itself. The narrow gauge railway is a delight and during the... More

Wicksteed Park has maintained its true identity over the years and still is a great place for all the family to enjoy with plenty of space for walks and picnics. Great play areas for the younger and older children including the boating lakes and other attractions. It's well worth a day trip out.

We set off early to take our very excited granddaughters, dressed in their Anna and Elsa dresses to the 'Frozen' event at Wicksteed Park on Wednesday 18 February 2015. On leaving the A14, junction 10 we were straight into heavy traffic. We spent the next hour travelling 1.7 miles! When we eventually arrived there was no organised car parking. Then... More

Like hundreds of other disappointed people we were stuck in traffic on the outskirts of Kettering for over 2 hours, only to finally find the police had had to man the gates and turn people away. No warning signs or anyone remotely interested in organising the chaos created. What could well have been an event over a few days (FROZEN... More

Good place to go for walks and for the kids to play. The food bit overpriced and the bird exhibits need a bit of revamping.

BIG THANK YOU to Wicksteed Park! As a regular visitor, from Norfolk, I brought my grandson to the free play day yesterday. He had an amazing time ... all that space to run around, and everything free on the day (that doesn't happen much these days anywhere!)!. Huge thank you to the staff and volunteers who gave up so much... More

Arrived in Kettering before 10am with 2 children (5&7yrs), sat for an hr and a half slowly travelling the half mile to the gate only for it to be closed 2 cars before us. Wicksteed clearly didn't anticipate how popular this event was going to be, would have been better to make this a week long ticketed event. Luckily managed... More

Enjoyed the train and pirate ship we didn't venture on the zip wire perhaps next time. Lovely setting.

Having spent 45 minutes to get into the park (should have been 5-10 minute journey from home) we looked at the queues to get into the playday, drove round the car park and left. Having taken my 2yr old to the autumn playday in october where there were lots of activities and it wasn't too busy, i stupidly decided to... More

I was excited to hear of a free 'fun day' at local Wicksteed park with a 'Frozen' theme, advertised to have activities such as snowman and igloo building and themed crafts. I took my 2 children aged 3 and 4 who love the film along with their grandparents, looking forward to an enjoyable day out. We anticipated it may be... More
