if you are after a full on hard core white knuckle thrill seeekijnawdroppingut wrenchinstomachchurnin experience then do not travel along the congested A14 to Kettering. if you want all that there a re places to do just that go ahead and fill your boots. Wickstead Park on the other hand is a far more relaxed gentler place where you do... More

Lovely day out. Plenty of room for the kids to run and play, and a nice lot of benches and picnic tables available. My advice would be to buy the wristbands for the rides, as the tickets go very quickly. Plenty of rides for Kids of all ages. There is also a fantastic amount of play equipment that does not... We travelled to Wicksteed Park on one of the windiest days of the year with kids aged 1-13yrs old. The weather is relevant purely because the park is mostly outdoors and we definitely needed our coats! However it also meant it was quite quiet so no crowds to contend with. The park is aimed squarely at kids aged from about... More

... those are just 3 words I'd use to describe this wonderful place. I have been coming to this park off and on for the last 30 years (mainly out of season) and my last visit was for the first operational day of 2015. I think too many people must have read the bad reviews, as the place was empty.... More

The Park is a great credit to Kettering, with some lovely views and wild life, and do have some very good attractions during the season. One word of warning, parking can be horrendous at peak times, and traffic congestion with in that area, has not been sorted out, as yet. But that said, I would recommend a visit.

I enjoy taking walk round Wicksteed park, the facility is a great local asset. During school holidays we'll walk down have some ice cream, maybe buy a few ticket for some of the rides. really pleasant. Sadly the management are anything but, if the management were better it would have a 5 star rating. If you are planning a special... More

Wicksteed park offers everything for the family day out or even just to walk the dog! Improvements over the winter have provided a lovely wooden walkway around the lake and plenty of spaces to explore. You can take a picnic or sample the various eateries and ice cream parlour. Keeping it's traditional values the park goes from strength to strength.

What a joke this mornings car boot sale was. I am disabled and struggle to walk far, asked about parking close to car boot and was told there would be plenty of marshalls to help. Not one. I managed to find a space quite far from the actual car boot but it was the best I could do. After I... More
