I was sad to see negative reviews of Wicksteed on here, this place has given me 35 years of fun memories as a child and then as a parent. Wicksteed has many strings to it's bow, There are function facilities and a bar and restaurant on site, we have never used these facilities but the seem clean and well used.... More

The Christmas train is not worth the money at all- there is nothing magical about this. Even the children were disappointed. Would not recommend this save your money and take the kids somewhere that is actually fun and magical.

Expensive for what you get, we went on one of first rides at 4pm. Lights not all on until half way round and I have more I my back garden no way it's a parade of light. Hot drinks not suitable for little kids (cold juice needed) and cookie tasted stale and hard to be dunked to eat. Staff had... More

On Thursday the Sainsbury's Veterans group once again went to Wicksteeds for their meal and entertainment. The Four entertainers were absolutely brilliant, they are so professional and their singing an routine are amazing. BUT But Wicksteeds ladies toilets are appalling I thought they might have improved them since last year but sadly not, Wicksteeds is a lovely place and I... More

We came here as part of a two coach group of about 65 people from our area for lunch, a show and what was advertised as afternoon tea .The meal was very average pub grub. The turkey was very dry breast meat which slices were so thin they could have blown away. This was accompanied by roast potatoes, brussel sprouts... More

Given that hundreds of people were attending the parking signs and guidance were shocking (parked on a verge). Hundreds of mouths to feed, so no surprise that the food was not the best quality, but not bad considering (the half-brick of pate would have fed a family!). Serving and clearing was very efficient. Standard disco and usual fodder for the... More

After being a regular visitor at Wicksteed for many years and living close by, I was quite sure that their Christmas train ride would be magical and worth every penny. It cost us £23.50 for a family of four, two adults and two children. On arrival a very miserable elf directed us to the cafe to collect our tickets. once... More

Thanks wicksteed for a spiffing show . This was our 4th year of going to the wicksteed Xmas show and can say it was an entertaining day starting at 11.45 and finishing at 16.30. The meal was edible turkey, roast pots, Brussels and carrots followed by profiteroles and tea. The afternoon tea was ample with chocolate cake and minced pie... More
