Since we discovered Wicksteed Park a few years ago, we have visited several times per year and we always have a great day out. Wicksteed is what I would call a low key theme park, it has a great kids play area which is free and you can walk round the whole parkland area for free but if you drive... More

Some of my family live in the Wicksteed Park area and invited us along to celebrate my cousin's 60th birthday last Sunday afternoon. We weren't too sure what to expect but it was just great. It took place in the Pavillion, and we were served a nice fresh ham salad, followed by apple pie and cream, with all the tea... More

This is a lovely park and we had a nice day out. It has a nice old fashioned feeling. There are a lot of play things which are free to use but you can't avoid the kids wanting to go on all the rides. We bought some tokens with our tescos clubcard points which was a good deal. Our daughters... More

We were asked to look after a friends 7 year old daughter for the day, we dont have any children living at home now, all grown up. So we took her to Wicksteed park, what a great decision that proved to be, starting with loads of parking (not bad rates) then seeing her face light up as she looked at... More

This is a really good day out with loads to do and some nice scenic views great for all ages. Unlike most theme parks this was reasonable on food and drink and did offer some good alternatives to the normal deep fried fast food

Been bringing our children here for years but as they get older, the appeal for them diminishes. That said, for under 12's this is still a great place. The rides are tame (majority), there is plenty of parking spaces and you can bring a picnic and chill. You can also bring your dog if you have one, which is nice... More

We actually live nearby and visit regularly especially with the grankids and cant wait until they get a bit bigger to go on even more of the rides! Lots of attractions for the small ones as well as bigger kids, perhaps not for the hardcore teenagers who are adrenaline junkies but nevertheless a great place for families, to enjoy the park... More

We live locally and "Wickies" has always been our local park. We locals have all been going here for literally as long as we can remember. It's definitely improving, with a lot of investment and much smartening up going on. Particularly, the walk round the lake is very special now. The new pontoon bridge and the planting at the lake... A really good family day out, especially as you can get the ride tickets off Tesco rewards. (we used 3 sheets of 40 to get 4 of us on everything) Mainly smaller type rides for under 12's but spread out so loads of walking. Food is quite reasonable (pie or sausage & chips £3-£4), but loads of picnic areas, even... More
