A really good family day out, especially as you can get the ride tickets off Tesco rewards. (we used 3 sheets of 40 to get 4 of us on everything) Mainly smaller type rides for under 12's but spread out so loads of walking. Food is quite reasonable (pie or sausage & chips £3-£4), but loads of picnic areas, even... More

Seriously, if you're going to get food here, you have to go to the fish and chip shop (next to the play area/rush). The other outlets in the park are fairly standard for this type of place, but the chip shop is a bit special. The portions are huge, the food is delicious and its even reasonably priced! Jumbo sausage... More

I have been going to Wicksteed for many years, from when I was a small girl (not that long ago actually....honest :) ) I love it here and love the fact that it doesn't change too much. Keep it up Wicksteed and here is to many more visits in the future x

Wicksteed has a lovely, big park to wonder around, with a lake, boats etc. they've updated it recently, which it needed. They have new attractions like the zip wire, which is great(my 5yr old & hubby loved it), although you have to pay @£5/7 for it. It's a great place if you have small kids, most of the rides are... Wicksteed Park has been there for years and we used to take our children there when they were young - and now we looked forward to taking our grandchildren. Originally the "rides" were all free as they were the typical playground equipment manufactured by the Wicksteed Company and supplied to local authorities across the country for installation in municipal parks... Took my grandaughter while weather still good, but bigger kids had gone back to school ! Thought the wristband a little expensive (still £17 for a 3 year old), but as there were no queues she probably got her money's worth during the day. Some of the park looks a bit tired, and the staff were pleasant but looked pretty... More

The last time I came here was 15years ago.... And WOW how much has it changed!! I have a little boy of 2 1/2 and a boy of 1. Both of them loved it here. There is something for everyone. The best part was all 6 of us with our children on the big slide. We brought a picnic as... More

Took four children during school hols. Weather was good so we were able to visit each area. Have been in the past when its been wet and its not much fun. Found the ride times have got shorter but because it wasn't too busy the children could line up for another go. Wrist bands were 17gbp each but the children... More
