We have spent the weekend camping at Wicksteed Park with friends and young children. It's the second time we have camped there and it was excellent value at £40 for two nights. The facilities block gets busy but is fine for a couple of nights away. We found the staff very pleasant and helpful and made good use of the... More

We visited in October 2014 and I was not impressed. Half the park was closed but we had still paid full price for our wristbands. I spoke to the manager who explained that they had a refurbishment plan for 2015 and they had been lucky to recieve a grant from the National Lottery. He kindly invited us back this year... More

Visited here at the weekend with family - ages ranging from 5 to over 70 years old. The park is free to get in and you only pay for the car parking and any rides that you wish to do. Old fashioned family park with a few improvements for people to enjoy - zip line, climbing wall, playgrounds etc. everyone... More

Had a wonderful day here again lots of rides short queues plenty of space for play and a picnic. Not expensive either. Only downside on visiting the ladies toilet at 10.15am my wife thought the toilet disgusting pity but did not spoil our day.

This is a lovely park with some lovely simple low-key rides. The staff are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to help. What let if down for us, and will prevent us from returning, is the wrist band and ticket prices. These are not Alton Towers or Drayton Manor rides by any stretch of the imagination yet the... More

we visited on a fairly quiet August Monday. We experienced very few queues except the go karts and the paratrooper and managed 2 goes on several rides. There is plenty here for all age groups although real thrill seekers would find it a bit tame compared with Alton Towers for example. The wristbands are excellent value compared to the tickets. My 12 year... Took a trip to wicksteed park today with my son and wife. Bear in mind I haven't been there since I was at school. First of all there's no marshals in the car park so it's chaos parking, absolute free for all with people parked all over the place. There's no massive welcome sign to the park itself it's just... Good family day out with a variety of things to do. Spoilt by the rides starting to close from 4.30 , on what was a lovely afternoon with plenty of people about. The website says that the closing time varies but this seems a bit ridiculous in peak summer season. We were left with several spare tickets as were many... More
