This little theatre takes one back in time and makes the visitor part of the production. It never fails to provide me with a good night out, and the programme is so varied that it invariably caters for visitor or local patron throughout the year. The Christmas pantomime is especially not to be missed by adults because you will become... More

We attended a production of Ibsen's Dolls House which was an enjoyable play set in the wonderful ambience of this tiny Georgian theatre, which is apparently the oldest working theatre in England. A very enjoyable experience.

We visited the theatre and had a guided tour with Geoffrey, who was very knowledgeable about the theatre's history. It was great to see so much being preserved and the original features that remained. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, we were unable to stay to watch a performance, however, I'd love to do so in the future.

Really good disabled access. We were well looked after. I'm temporarily in a chair. Good sight lines. Beautiful theatre.

The tour of the Theatre was one of the higlights of my trip this year. I've spent lots of time in England and this was my second trip to Richmond. I recommend this for anyone.

A fascinating tour conducted for just the two of us by a very knowledgeable guide. The historical details were most interesting.

This is an amazingly intimate theatre - you are virtually on the stage with the performers. Wonderful atmosphere and a very characterful building. An absolute MUST if you are visiting the area and there is a performance.

This was a wonderful place to visit and tour - lots of great history. We saw a show there which was pretty funny, though the nature of the theater makes it difficult to sit comfortably for very long.

Can't begin to describe how brilliant this little theatre is. So interesting(we had a wonderful guide,Angela) and you get to see everything, eventually ending up on the stage! To see a production here is now on our "must-do" list.
