This has got to be the best beach in the UK. It just goes on and on for miles and is absolutely wonderful to walk on and for children to play on. And with Filey Brigg you've also got fossil hunting, rock pools and fishing at your fingertips. Filey itself is unspoilt and quaint, with some fabulous restaurants and coffee... More

Great beach for all the family. Able to take your dog at certain parts. Easy access and plenty to do for children and adults . Can walk up to Brigg or along to Reighton Sands or Primrose Valley either on cliff tops or via the beach.

Miles of clean and beautiful beach situated away from the main shopping area of the town. A few cafes, ice cream shops, mini golf course and toilets dotted along the promenade so you don't have to hike up the steep hills back up to the town if you get caught short. Plenty of beach space and rock pools to keep... More

We love Filey beach. For a sheltered spot pick a place close to the sea wall for great fun with youngsters when the tide is out venture onto the brigg for some rock pool exploration.

If you like amusements, rides, loud music etc. then go to Scarborough! If however you like your seaside towns just like they were when you were a kid years and years ago then Filey is the place for you!

Walking for 3 miles to Filey and back on a Sunday morning beach and more beach- pure bliss, calling at Humanby cafe in the cliffs for a hot coffee and bacon butty.
