Well worth a visit. It was £12 for a family ticket to the museum, which includes a tour of the Ross Tiger trawler. You can get £2 car parking refunded when you go in. There is a very nice café for a drink and a snack. We had our tour of the Ross Tiger before we went round the museum.... More

A trip round the museum with several tableaux and interactive sections was very interesting. I had a better perception of life for my grandfather who was an engineer on trawlers, firstly with coal-fired boilers and later with diesel fired boilers which took several hours of careful attention being brought up to steaming levels. The guided tour of the Ross Tiger... More

I had a brilliant day being showed around the Ross Tiger Trawler after a impressive look around the heritage museum. The tour guide was very well informed, friendly and made the tour special. He was covering for another tour guide but had strong links to this fishing heritage as his grandfather had worked on a trawler years before and gave... More

Really interesting place to spend a couple of hours. Grimsby's Fishing Heritage is brought to life both inside the Museum and in the shape of the Ross Tiger, a preserved Trawler which is moored along-side the Museum. The staff are very helpful and really friendly. A big bonus for us was having John as the tour guide on the Ross... More

Thanks to the wonderful staff at the centre my grandad Sid Bensley celebrated his 100th birthday with around 70 family and friends. The heritage centre could not have done enough to help us and their organization of the food and the venue was extremely helpful. Sophie, John, Dave and all of the other staff ( sorry I didn't get all... More

As grandad is turning 100 and is an ex trawler man we thought it appropriate to bring him here for his party - so this was a scouting mission and we went to the cafe. The food was good and the service good the coffee was machine but only ok. However the organization for the party is fantastic so no... More

Thus is a great attraction and museum. It's so good it gives you a feel for what life was really like. We have our own family record too. My grandad was a fisherman on the trawlers for over 37 years. He loves the exhibits too. Especially the Ross tiger as that was one of his ships. A really well thought... More

See what life was really like for the fisherman. The living quarters, the hardships, food and weather they had to cope with. When you go round the centre it makes you feel as if you are on the trawler and how brave the fishermen where.

We had a fantastic visit and tour with John, very knowledgeable and entertaining. The Centre take`s round a Trawler showing the different aspects of Fishing. Then a Tour included in the price round a complete Trawler, put`s the visit in perspective.
