Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway is a fantastic way to see the resort of Cleethorpes. Steam and diesel locomotives on the 15" gauge track take visitors on a two-mile journey along the seafront, stopping at three stations. But the attraction is much more than a railway. It includes a tea room, The Signal Box Inn - reputed to be the world's smallest pub - a gift shop, locomotive sheds and workshops.

We visited 30/04/15 and enjoyed it but did feel that it could do with some extras doing. For example, none of the stations had name plates. I know there are very limited stations but thought it would help to know that your at the end of the line! Also we brought tickets at the revamped station but couldn't find train... More

first impressions were not so good. Coffee was undrinkable, I had to check that my husband had the tea!!! And no toilets. This was at the end nearest the town centre. Train was on time and hardly any passengers, but this was midweek in April. A good ride to the end of the line and on the return we stopped... More

The CCLR is the one thing I make a beeline for when in Cleethorpes. I know it is geared up for families, but as a rail enthusiast, I can heartly recommend it. A visit to the Signal Box Inn is also a must, with some top notch real ales and fine ciders. Would have got five stars if the museum... More

Came here while on holiday at Thorpe Park Haven. Walked out the site and along beach and got the train here. Lovely miniature steam train and very friendly staff. Ride was very reasonably priced at £11 return for 2 adults and a child. Nice coastal track with little features on the way to make it authentic. Lots of people waving... More

I have visited this attraction with friends and family many times and so know what to expect but on this occasion, it was on Easter Sunday and my brother was visiting from London and as he has never been before, we thought we would show him the experience! As the weather was pleasant too, we sat on the seats outside... More

Grown up and children alike will love this attraction. The people who run this have an absolute passion for the railway and it shows in there work. From summer time runnings to the ~Christmas special - what a treat. One way or a round trip - value for money.
