Steam and diesel locomotives on the 15" gauge track take visitors on a two-mile journey along the seafront, stopping at three stations. But the attraction is much more than a railway. It includes a tea room, The Signal Box Inn - reputed to be the world's smallest pub - a gift shop, locomotive sheds and workshops. « less

Well if you were born during the steam days and expect that lovely smell, this is for you. Dont leave it too late in the day for a trip. Getting off at the stops and looking at the area is worth it. As the carriages are very basic, store your phones and other valuables within a secure pocket. It's possible... More

This is a excellent attraction to cleethorpes and a credit to the town more from the top of "thorpe park" down to kings way. All staff are happy and attentive and very helpful when our son asks questions about the train.

Running from Kingsway, through to near the 'Fitties' holiday camp a mile-and-a-half away, the nostalgia will flood back to anyone who can remember the original route up until the mid-eighties, when part of the track at both ends was lifted. North Sea Lane terminus just shy of the river and Pleasure Island beside the main road is long gone, as... More

The service is second to none from the staff working the light coast railway, they are clearly enthusiastic in their roles and aim to make every passengers journey a pleasant one. This is an attraction that is not to be missed, with the added bonus of a small pub located at the meridian station for a cheeky refreshment should you... More

£4 each return for an adult seemed very fair to me. Make sure you get off at Lakeside stop halfway and have a pint in the 'smallest pub on the planet'. There's plenty of seating outside the pub that's under cover of the station roof if it is raining. Several lovely hand pulled ales and a good range of ciders.... More

It was a quite cool day, typical seaside midweek day in June really, so there weren't a lot of people on the train. That was good actually because we got to chat to guard and driver and they were great, making sure for instance our little grandson got to stand in the best place and waited for him to get... More
