Enjoyed a blissful day of peaceful relaxation, returned home refreshed. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival, excellent snacks and drinks available to set us up for the morning. Really tasty lunch, plenty of choice. Lots of places to just chill out, no phones...bliss! Pool area is lovely, therapists attentive and friendly. We found all staff to be... More

Went for an overnight treat. Yes the place is in need of some t.l.c. and updating in some areas (unpleasant smell in loos, and swimsuit spin dryer very 'whiffy'); however the pool is fabulous, the staff were very keen to help and the food was absolutely delicious, as well as healthy and nutritious. We would revisit if it were keenly... More

Relaxing lovely resort . Staff are excellent nothing too much trouble. We came back refreshed. Large pool area, gym and treatments were spot on. Lunch was varied and love the relaxing areas. Too cold for outside activities but there is tennis and cycling available.

We stayed in this hotel overnight last weekend and we weren't impressed. I agree with people saying that the hotel needs refurbishment. Very poor gym, old well used equipment. The fact that saunas and steam rooms are in male and female changing rooms was at least weird. Not good for heterosexual couples looking for a romantic weekend away, didn't bother... More

The place is well in need of renovation - dated and no comparison to Ragdale Hall which is the nearest other hotel/spa. Food not great and the staff all looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. Not really value for money!

The place is very worn in a lot of areas.. Although nice in others.. The toilets in the ladies changing rooms I would almost describe as grotty... Just a new mirror would dramatically improve it.. The standard pool / jacuzzi / sauna was just that and therefore we didn't actually bother to use it.. again very worn looking, broken tiles... More

Experienced a very relaxing spa day here yesterday in a clean, friendly environment. I totally recommend a visit to this place where they provide a wide range of food which was a bonus for me due to my intolerances and a large variety of classes and treatments. If you're looking for a great gift for someone look no further.

With the Champneys name attached to it, one would expect this to be a fabulous spa. Having been to a fair few spas over the years, this was by far the worst. On arrival we were told to take a seat in the waiting area and to await a tour. Thirty minutes later, there was still no one to give... More
