it's true what some of the other reviews said... this is a terrible pub, the beer selection is mediocre at best, the food is all from frozen and the staff are tired and disinterested. If you're in whitstable on a sunny day and you want a simple lager outside, then this is a great pub for you, but if you... More

The location of this pub is superb, definitely the best attribute. A great place to enjoy a drink as the sun goes down. There's a good choice of ale and the staff are very friendly. It's not the best pub in Whitstable but still worth a visit, especially if you have a dog.

After eating in Whitstable Harbour we strolled along the front to this pub. It was packed but the bar staff were cool, calm and collected. Good atmosphere. Band setting up to play the afternoon. Great sea front position. What more do you want from a place to relax on a Sunday?

Wonderful location, very beautiful and serene when the sun is setting. However, the pub isn't as friendly as you'd expect considering most of the clientèle are tourists. Infinitely better to sit outside rather than inside. Also it's another classic example of a pub complacent in it's popularity and knowing it can afford to charge high prices.

Admittedly weather was good for March which did really add to the experience, however as a place for a quiet drink with a good view it was perfect. Staff were really friendly when serving and the beer garden on the beach is a truly lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink. Could easily spend an hour or two here.

Great pub - watch the sunset over the oyster beds as you inevitably end up in this pub, sit outside and watch all the DFL's (down from londons) get slowly more irritable as they realise they have to go back to the Smoke. This pub is set away from the main thrall of bars and seasiders and stands almost alone... More

I really like this pub. The location is excellent and there are plenty of tables outside on the beach to sit on. The food is really tasty and they do a good pint of Guinness. I don't really like the lager selection in there (but this is quite typical of pubs in Whitstable) and the toilets could do with a... More

A great location on the beach. They only had one bitter on which was a bit disappointing for a pub. It was a good pint though, Harvey's best. They also usually have Bishop's finger which is normally really nice. We didn't eat. Definitely worth a visit for an hour or so.

Trip to Whitstable must include a visit to The Old Neptune Pub on the beach, and I must say we weren't disappointed. Lovely old pub, warm welcome and an even warmer log burner roaring away. We had a lovely meal and sampled a selection on local ales and then to top it off a brilliant live band. Well worth making... More

We came here as a large family to meet up and have a drink on a Friday night. The landlord was more than accommodation and helped us find a bigger table when the band turned up. Great local brewery ales available. The wine was a bit questionable. Some of the ladies behind the bar were more interested in chatting to... More
