Reasonable food, lovely atmosphere on a bright winter lunchtime. Grab the window seat if you can. Couldn't help but notice the Upton Park street sign among the many on the walls. What will happen to that when the Hammers move to the Olympic Stadium?

Following our first visit with our dogs on the first night of our holiday this lovely old pub became a daily routine. Met some lovely locals and thought it was just a nice place to stop for a beer after a walk on the beach. We got the impression that it was completely different in the summer due to crowds.

This pub is certainly old fashioned and not equipped for quite as many people who visit it, but that does certainly not detract from how wonderful it is. It is certainly the best place to sit and have a drink looking out over the sea. The staff are very friendly and helpful, even when the bar is packed out. The... More

The location of this pub can not be beaten and it looks fantastic against the bleak backdrop of the misty seascape but that's about as good as it gets. The food is just ok and the service was pretty slack. The pub wasn't particularly busy but it took about 40 minutes for them to make a few crab sandwiches. It's... More

8 of us went for drinks and crisps. Our group didn't eat but menu looked fine. Plenty of people were eating and it looked nice.

I love this place. Been going here with my family since I was born. My Grandad and I would ride along the front to the pub and he would tell me stories of when it flooded and how everyone had beer beer! Great food, lovely location, been open for years! Defo my favorite! Enjoy!

The location of this pub is superb, definitely the best attribute. A great place to enjoy a drink as the sun goes down. There's a good choice of ale and the staff are very friendly. It's not the best pub in Whitstable but still worth a visit, especially if you have a dog.

After eating in Whitstable Harbour we strolled along the front to this pub. It was packed but the bar staff were cool, calm and collected. Good atmosphere. Band setting up to play the afternoon. Great sea front position. What more do you want from a place to relax on a Sunday?
