We had an amazing day at the Castle for our special day, everything was done absolutely perfectly without a single mistake or problem. The entire staff at Whitstable castle all deserve recognition for everything they did for us on our wedding day. We cannot thank you enough for all the help you gave us and how perfectly the day ran,... More

Having always enjoyed my visit to The Castle Cafe with friends & family in the past I felt it the ideal venue on a hot June day. How wrong I was! The staff were rude & unhelpful & most unwelcoming. We were told the feta & onion tart was off the menu as they had run out of pastry!!! & was... More

Really lovely children's park, on a bit of a slope so slightly challenging for our toddler but fine. There is water play here so go prepared. (though it wasn't working when we were there this time). Gardens are beautiful and well worth a walk around. Cafe very nice if on the pricy side, but the rest being free you won't... More

Very lovely castle and gardens. Very relaxing to walk around on a lovely day. Nice little park for children. Down side not enough outside seating for cafeteria and told rather rudely "you can't be served if you're not sitting on an official cafeteria chair you'll have to have a takeaway cup!!" Pity as otherwise a lovely place!

Although Whitstable Castle is a local attraction with, aside from the castle, has beautiful gardens and a terrace overlooking the harbour where you can enjoy snacks and things, it is also for hire as a venue for parties etc. Our visit was for a wedding reception which on a very reasonable May day proved a lovely setting. Plenty of space... More

The castle and grounds are now supurb, the tea room is clean and a good selection on the menu, having also attended a wedding function at this location I found it ideal.

It's not really a castle, was a stately home, but built in the style of a castle. The grounds are pretty and if it's a nice day it's a lovely place to while away some time.

This is a beautiful "castle." I believe it was really a private residence, but now is used for events. They offer tea and desserts, which you can enjoy inside a bright dining area or outside on a nice day. The gardens are gorgeous, and there is a fun playground for children.
