Nice sized shop to wander around with a good variety of produce. Farm shops and the like are my weakness, so I love to pick up unusual items not found in your local supermarket. The Chapel Down Wine Flint Dry was lovely and can also highly recommend their lager. There is also a nice garden and the vineyards to walk... More

Called in yesterday to buy some local produce, but the female assistant was so snappy and condescending that we ended up walking out empty handed and won't be returning. Some customer services training is desperately needed here.

I went along to Chapel Down with my husband. The experience starts with registration at 11.30 in the shop, where the staff were very nice and friendly, before eating lunch in the restaurant at midday. The staff in the restaurant did not seem very efficient and had to be asked more than once for things. The lunch did not start... More

I made the booking via the telephone nice and easily a few weeks prior to attending. On arrival there is lots of parking. We headed into the shop and let them know we had arrived and paid the £10 each. Which is great value given the wine tasting at the end. The tour is short but does show you the... More

Friends bought me a Gift Experience Day for my 50th birthday - couldn't have been happier! Starting off in the bar area of the Swan restaurant with a bottle of Chapel Down's Sparkling Rose Brut - absolutely delicious. The bar area itself is very relaxed, with a great ambience, flowing into the restaurant. Having finished our sparkling, we moved into... More

We booked a vineyard tour, which was excellent, very interesting, learnt a lot. Got to see some of the different vines and their production factory. We got to try about 6 wines and a few more afterwards and ended up buying a lot of their lovely wine. We also then took a walking tour of the vineyard. There are two... More

My wife and I took my mum for her birthday treat to the afternoon tea and winery tour/taste. What a great afternoon out, interesting tour, great tasting - the wine just kept coming (which are excellent) and the tea/scones/sandwiches/cakes were first class. Thoroughly recommended visit. Will return to try a full meal at the Swan restaurant. Recommend the Bacchus reserve... More

My husband and I had this wine tour including afternoon tea and tasting for our birthdays. It was a lovely afternoon but we would have found it more interesting if we could have seen the actual making of the wine but all in all a great afternoon out. Our tour guide and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.
