We only had time to visit the shop and not have a tour. Very nice selection of their own products as well as a large variety of other local products. You can find wine, beer, ciders, mustards, jams, other food stuffs, and cute gifts.

We had a lovely time, with an excellent lunch upstairs in the restaurant. I'm not sure if they were used to little children, but they made an big effort and provided them with delicious fish and chips. Service was slightly forgetful, but very pleasant. Food was most innovative, using local ingredients inventively. Afterwards we enjoyed the beautiful herb garden and... More

An excellent insight to how wines are produced. A very knowledgeable guide takes you through the whole process from the vines used to the bottling of the wines. This is a working winery and you are guided from the growing area (vines/grapes), to the process plant, onto the bottling area and finally to the shop area where you sample numerous... More

My husband & I have just come back from a 'Red Letter Day' Vineyard tour, tasting & lunch & we had a great time. Our guide David was very informative, humourous & approachable & we learned lots about the winemaking process. Following the tour we tasted 6 different wines & again learned lots about how to taste wine & what... More

We enjoyed an extremely interesting tour of the vineyard and processing plant and, in the process, learned a great deal about the wine-making process from our very knowledgeable guide. The wine-tasting that followed was also brilliant. What a shame that the lunch that followed was not of the same standard. We were a group of 20 and assembled in the... More

We planned our visit in advance to coincide with a holiday in London. We booked a taxi to meet us at Headcorn Station (train from Charing Cross) to take us to the vineyard (£26 each way) where we had booked lunch at the Swan and a tour and tasting. We have toured vineyards and indulged in tastings in several of... More

My husband had booked the Deluxe Experience for my birthday as my favourite wine is Chapel Down rose! We started with a glass of fizz, followed by a delicious lunch, then a tour of the vineyard and a tutored wine-tasting. To top it all off we each got a gift bag containing a bottle of fizz and some chocolates. The... More

Tip : the guided tours are very popular so try and book in advance. (You can walk around the vineyards only on your own) The guided tour lasts about 2 hours and takes you through the vineyards and then into the winery to show the whole process. Our guide was fantastic and we learnt a lot , especially some of... More
