See the grapes growing. See how the wine is made. Taste the end product. Chapel Down is Britains largest wine producer, with an International reputation for quality wines. Had a good tasting, outside under the shade of trees. Tried several sparkling wines. All had different characteristics, but all were clean, fully integrated with a good balance of sweetness (or lack... More

once you've visited the home of Chapel Down you realize why the their beers and wines are SO perfect. every detail is meticulously maintained throughout (the decor, the plants, landscaping, herb garden etc) it shows just how much they care, and their produce is a great reflection of this. . on arrival we went straight into the shop as we... The window dressing is elegant: In the bar, aged wine barrel planks are shaped into woven wall art and dramatically offset with accent light; a copper and blonde wood bar counter, a few small black tables surrounded by bespoke high-back chairs upholstered in tweed blazers. In the restaurant moss green walls offset chrome and glass chandeliers; a unique wine collection... More

Easy to find, plenty of parking..........though we got a taxi from the William Caxton where we were staying in Tenterden about 2 miles away...........£5 each way. Our guide David made the whole experience so worthwhile, great knowledge, personality, answered every question regardless. Tour took just over an hour then it was tasting time, prima, an afternoon very well spent and... More

Had a great afternoon with girlfriend and parents at the Chapel Down winery. The tour was very informative - compares very well to tours I have done in France, much happier to answer questions and the love of the company is obvious from all you talk to. Finished off with a variety of tastings (all excellent wines, and great examples... More

Visited Chapel Down during a recent UK trip. We are big fans of Champagne, drink it regularly. But we had heard while planning our trip that English sparkling wine is really making a name for itself, so we had to find out first hand. We now agree wholeheartedly!! We only tasted, we did not do a tour of the vineyards.... More

Chapel Down do produce wonderful sparkling wines, which we often choose to drink instead of traditional champagnes. The lightness and enjoyment of the Rose sparkling is excellent.

we hasn't booked for a tour around the vineyards. It popped into the shop to taste some of their wine. Free generous tastings - we were allowed to choose 3 wines each from their extensive list, with no pressure to buy ( although we did!) The girl serving us was knowledgable about each vintage and how they differed. English wine... More

We had a very pleasant afternoon at the Chapel Down Winery tour including wine tasting. Jo our guide was very informative and gave us lots of interesting facts about the whole process of making wines. The wines were very impressive, I had no idea that English wines were so superior. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

I have to admit that the wine didn't blow my mind but this is certainly a lovely place to visit. Lots of nice things to try (and buy). The staff are very friendly.
