Fantastic tour and tasting with James leading the group. Very informative tour and lovely wines, in a beautiful setting, all helped by the amazing weather we are having currently. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a tipple.

Our party of 14 was conducted round the vineyard by a very knowledgeable and engaging guide who made the hour long tour most enjoyable. This was followed by a tasting session when 8 different wines, including 2 of "fizz", were offered us together with helpful advice on the characteristics of each one. After that we were given a splendid afternoon... More

We arrived early for out tour and enjoyed stroll around the garden. Lunch was a fantastic meal served in the restaurant. 3 choices for each course. Served with a glass of wine. Our tour was with Freddie. What a great and knowledgeable young man. He delivered the tour with wit and knowledge. He was also able to cope with 'difficult'... More

We booked a wine tour and arrived 10 minutes early, there were about 10-12 people on our tour. The tour was ok but our guide was a bit boring and didn't seem to be bothered. She couldn't answer some of the questions put to her. The wine tasting was good but we would have liked a bit more detail about... More

We decided to take a trip out as many years ago I had first been introduced to Chapel Down sparkling wine. The set up is very well arranged, you are at liberty to tour the vineyards (although not much to see), there's a fairly well stocked shop offering wine, beers and foodstuffs and then there's the restaurant. As the shop... More

Having attended chapel down i was empressed with the disability falcilities just shame there is no lift to the Swan diner upstairs. Our Guide today Jo was brilliant and informative. The Tour of vinyard in poor weather was ok but the wine tasting was brilliant and some great tasting wine. The farm shop is well stocked and some great cheeses... More

Review on behalf of my parents - My parents visited in order to buy some wine for my dads 60th birthday celebration. (The recommendation on the wine was made by me). After selecting what they wanted, they stood around only to be ignored by shop staff who were too busy giving out tasters to everyone else. Not even a "I'll... More

Even in foul weather this was the most interesting tour that my wife and I have been on! The tutored tasting really educated you as to how to taste wine rather than the try this and tell us what you think approach we have experienced in many other places (in UK and abroad). Just short of a couple of hours... More

We went here for our anniversay in the summer. we had a guided tour of the vineyard with a lovely enthusiastic & passionate lady who took us round the vineyards & the winery factory and explained all about the baccus grape. It was very interesting to learn all about this and the tour finished with wine tasting which was fantastic... More

we were staying in Rye and decided to visit this winery but unfortunately we did not book a tour but we could walk around the vineyards. However, you can do some wine tasting in the gift shop area and the staff are very helpful and friendly. They stock some amazing products sourced locally and of course, a wide range of... More
