K&ESR gives you a blast from the past on their vintage trains. The dining trains are excellent, either Sunday Lunch or 5 course Dinner. For a cheaper option try their Fish & Chip Suppers. Just a ride on the train to Bodiam is a pleasure in itself.

It was very nice to return again to the K&ESR for my second visit back in early July. Once again, it was very pleasing to see the same faces, trains and improvements. The weather was perfect yet again and there was an attraction waiting at both ends of the line. So comfortable was the travel that I nearly fell asleep... More

I would strongly recommend this. I love trains, but these trains are just wonderful, my partner had booked us on the Santa Trip now this would be the first time we had not only ever been to Tenterden (only the second time to Kent wonderful people) and it was a surprise for me as I just adore Christmas, WELL from... Thoroughly enjoyed seeing in the New Year- excellent food, good jazz band , friendly staff and wonderful firework display. Special thanks to the chef who cooked excellent meals for the vegetarians in our party and whose desserts are fantastic!

Never disappoints. Great Santa train for our train made son. Santa was lovely and friendly on the train and staff on the platform jolly and in the sprit of things. Amusements where in keeping with the theme of the time of year. See you in 2016

Our first time on the Santa special, with our nearly 2 year old little girl. What a wonderful morning we had. We were booked on the 10.55 train and arrived about 1030. After a quick ride on the beautiful carousel we got on the train which was dressed with tinsel for Christmas. Our little girl was so excited! A lovely... More

Thank you for your kind words. Our decision to include a photography concession was based on providing an enhanced experience coupled to the maze. Your point about a notice is taken on board. Hope to see you next year! More

Title says it all really. Plenty of parking and seats on xmas train are allocated on arrival. There was a small selection of things to do at the station like a carousel, a maze and a pretty good cafe/restaurant. Well organised and once on train you are served a drink and a mince pie. The Santa however is not great,... More

Thanks for your review. One small correction is that seats are allocated at the time of booking not on arrival. We had a few mince pies left over from the trains so we'll feed Santa up for next year! More

I booked the Santa special after reading previous reviews: and all I can say is if u have young children then its a must. From when u collect ur tickets to boarding the train and meeting Santa: everything is well managed and presented and Santa talks to the children for as long as possible. The presents they gave to the... More
