Great day out with the boys. Parked at Bodium castle and caught the train from Bodium station. Friendly staff at the station full of knowledge and helpful. Staff onboard again were brilliant they even had a little tea trolley. The 50min journey was at a leisurely pace and had lovely views across Kent/East Sussex. Next time we will visit the... More

impromptu visit and had a great time- came back under 'stream' which was magical. Nice cuppa on the way back and felt really chilled and relaxed. Bonus is big car park and lovely gift shop although the service in the shop was very erratic and a very large queue formed.

Amazing place - fun for all the family . Steam ( and sometimes diesel ) train rides . Tenterden to Bodiam . Lots of places to stop and have a cup of tea , or take some amazing photographs . Enthusiasts running the "show" are real enthusiasts and their pleasure is infectious . Great day out .

Travelling down from Tentereden to Bodiam is only 10 miles but takes a leisurely 50 minutes. There were 5 trains during the day 3 steam hauled and 2 in a diesel two car unit. We went out in the diesel for a £2 supplement we sat in first class where we could watch the line unwind behind us. Time for... More

We rode behind a steam engine from Tenterden to Bodiam where there was a free shuttle to Bodiam Castle on a 1935 double decker bus - great!! The catering at Tenterden station was very good and reasonably priced. Also a great museum.

I booked this trip in January 2015, so it was nearly a surprise when the time came to go, our party was all family consisting of 7 adults and 3 children, we took far longer than expected to get to Northian by road and phoned the railway office some 6 miles from our destination to explain that we may be... I think the KESR is the quietest, most relaxing line I know. Its stations are all small, attached to quiet rural villages, the short trains usually pulled by a tank engine (it is a light railway after all) come and go without much fuss. The plus from this is that its a joy to kick back and relax - good... More

We had a fabulous lunch on the K&ESR Pullman service. The dedicated staff provide an experience from a bygone age, where good manners and polite service were the norm. A delicious lunch was served in fine style and we enjoyed award wining Tenterden champagne whilst we trundled through the picturesque countryside. I highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to... More

An exellent way of spending an Saturday evening with good friends enjoying good food and brilliant service. The sun came out as we arrived to Pimms and canapes on the platform at Tenterden Town Station. Time to explore the platform area and have pictures taken with the engine crew. Everyone so friendly and volunteers. Booking was a dream, we did... More
