Beautiful ancient church

Marvellous outside and inside; full of history. Go on a Sunday for the morning service; there is an excellent choir and the clergy are excellent

Sandwhich is a super little town and this church just adds to it. Quietly an unassuming this church is nestled in the corner off town. Free to visit, it has staff/volunteers on hand to hand out leaflets and chat with. They gave out a handy laminated leaflet that guides you round the church, pointing out explaining stuff. Not a church... More

A lot of history and very attractive to look around. Good to still be a working Church. Worth the walk to find it.

A lady welcomed us and gave us a very interesting guide to the church .We found particularly fascinating the history of the tower and how it had been strengthened and withstood the earthquake in the 1600s that destroyed the towers on the other 2 churches in the town.

Lovely old church in its ancient churchyard - this is the church which is the parish church for Sandwich - while the other old churches in the town are now in use as art centres. We found a very friendly welcome from someone sitting inside, and good guidebook information - with very lively invitations to pray for yourself and others... More

A fascinating church in so many ways. Very old with some original features. Very little stained glass. The Angel Roof is beautiful. The way part of the church has been adapted for modern use (rooms to let) is interesting and impressive.

The church was locked, but we caught the rector on the way out and he trusted us with the keys so that we could have a look around. This is a very rich and magnificent parish church of a once powerful mediaeval town: with a stunning Norman tower, beautiful angel roof and a font bearing the arms of Henry V.
