Came to the Turner for 'Animate Boogie Woogie' workshop. Wow, what an incredible afternoon! Cost for the kids was minimal and we made puppets with all kinds of materials. The kids happily cut & glued and us adults did too! We were then invited by the artist to make a stop animation film with the kids and puppets as the... More

This gallery is called the Turner gallery so you expect to see Turner's paintings. There were 5 in a dark corridor. Other exhibitions seem to change and had a Matisse exhibition which was interesting. A great building, not a huge amount there. No car park, good cafe.

Were showing Mondrian which was well curated. Had De Waal installation. This is no small town show. The building is fab and the cafe and the views over Margate are excellent. Too many screaming kids, but hey ho it was free and a rainy bank holiday. Check out the silversmiths on the promontory too. A very groovy experience.

What a little gem, sitting perfectly on the old harbour. Love the building, the space and the Mondrian exhibition! The cafe is great, well appointed with great views!

Went in to see the expo. A selection of Mondrian and his interpretation of Colour. I liked some of his landscapes and did not like others. What else to say. The shop is quite overpriced for the goods on offer.

The Turner Contemporary at Margae is a delightful visit even if there is not a current exhibition on, the building and surrounding area is worth the trip alone. Currently exhibiting Modrian which is colourful and is good for children, especially the younger ones, you can just pop in or make it an event by going to a childrens work shop.... More

Visited the gallery to specifically see the Mondrian exhibition. Well worth the trip. A good range of his work with some interesting information on his life. Lots of people using audio and video. Entrance is free with contributions well in donations box. Great views out to see. Very good food in cafe and interesting items in shop. Will definitely visit... More

I have been wanting to visit the turner since it opened and finally got around to it yesterday. Personally I think it was a waste off the petrol to get there. Very small, really bad lighting and most of the art wasn't to my personal taste either. Most of the art seemed to be in a shadow, or in a... More

We saw a fantastic Mondrian exhibition. A few nice Turners and some ok modern stuff, but not much else. Striking building with great views, helpful staff and a nice shop. Definitely with a trip if you are there or thereabouts on the coast

Very good selection of Mondrian's work. Audio and Video info was very helpful. The lighting in TC is exceptional so you get the best out of what you are seeing. Gift shop is good value, and entrance is free to this top exhibition. Honesty boxes for donations are placed around the gallery and it would be mean not to give... More
