Brilliant displays, the grandchildren enjoyed looking around. The quality of the food in the cafe was very good. A lot of interesting art displayed.

Usually I like the restaurant but I was disappointed on this occasion, though the view across the beach is amazing, especially in the late afternoon. There is only Disabled parking so you have to find somewhere nearby to park and walk there. The toilets are surprisingly cramped and squeezed in for such a large, new building. The shop has some... as above. Really disappointing having arranged to spend a good few days in the area, much else of what we saw in the town was quirky and interesting but not this. There is simply not enough art displayed not to mention the fact that there is a paucity of work by Turner. Gallery is misnamed and this is very misleading.... More

It's a lovely gallery . It's a great space . The staff are very friendly . It's not over crowded by disinterested tourists ticking off the gallery and getting in the way of those with a genuine interest . The cafe is good , the shop not bad (needs more books) but on this visit one wall of the early... More

I have never previously written any reviews but feel compelled to do so in response to the extraordinary number of negative reviews about this gallery. I traveled down from the Midlands to see the building and to visit the Mondrian exhibition and I don't feel disappointed on either count. It's not without its failings (I thought the quality of the... More

Very modern building filled with light and space. Huge windows looking onto the sea and sky which are constantly changing. Interesting exhibitions which have brought a lot of visitors to the town. Tracey Emin has exhibited here. The gallery is a must see.

I, personally, was unimpressed with the exhibitions on show. The main beauty of the Turner Contemporary is the wonderful view over the sea. I felt disappointed that they had not stuck to their original planned design as the current buildings are a blot on the horizon and certainly add nothing to the coastline. Many of my friends who also live... More

Mostly exhibitions of the highest quality that change frequently and are shown off to best advantage in the spacious, airy galleries - and contrary to all the cynics' predictions, still free admission. It's a real pleasure to be able to look at great art in a calm, uncrowded atmosphere, so unlike the jostling melee of popular exhibitions in the London... More
