Six of us went for breakfast and to celebrate one of our party's 70th birthday. We all had a good meal which was both clean, hot and well presented for not too much cash. We have all been before so we knew that we would enjoy it as it is consistently good and It is always busy.

This vast bay, beach and promenade area is located slightly to the east of Margate and gives a breather from the busy main beach. It also offers superb views of the main beach and the town. There is a large sunken garden on the promenade behind and plenty of seats from which to look out to sea The bay at... More

Between 1st May and September 30th dogs are banned from the main stretch but you can take them further up and walk towards St Mildred's Bay so they can have a long walk. Cycling is also banned along the main stretch of promenade. Keeps everybody happy and there are plenty of extra bins about. You can walk back along the... More

We regularly use this beach to walk our dog in the evening (although in the Summer, dogs are banned during the day time). The beach is very nice and clean, with the most fantastic view, especially when the sun is setting. You also get a nice range of ships waiting to be piloted up the Thames Estuary if you like... It's a sea side town family holiday beach right next to Margate bay. The Turner is about a mile walk on the beaches. The land lifts as you go away from Margate and so at Westbrook the beach is sheltered by a high wall that strengthens the cliff. There's steps and other access points and a cafe down there. It's... We have been to this beach many times and it doesn't disappoint. It's clean and not too crowded. Even when the tide is in, there is a lot of beach left. There are no rides or amusements, so it's quieter than the main Margate beach which is about a 15 minute walk from Westbrook Bay. There is street parking on... More

We took 3 of our young granddaughters, aged 5,7and 8, there at the beginning of August as we had never been. The beach was clean and quiet despite being a really hot day. The sands were gently shelving so very safe for the children to go in the sea by themselves, also life guards on duty. None of the annoying... More

Clean sands, safe bathing (lifeguards on the beach), parking on the road (can mean a bit of a walk), Cafe & toilets. Everything you need for a traditional day on the beach! Only a short walk to Margate if you want to go for amusements, Dreamland etc. Recommended.

We walked from Margate along the Promenade. There are good views, a beach and crazy Golf. There is a cafe where you can get a drink and food.
