originally had booked up at the winter gardens, but this theatre is part of the same group, and it was held in this theatre instead, very old theatre but has a lot of original features. it is small and made it feel more like a family day out, the actors were from the polka dot company and were excellent. What a wonderful theatre, the Staff were super friendly and helpful. Wonderful facilities. Some seats have restricted viewing as is pointed out to you, but even then it doesn't spoil the enjoyment of this fantastic theatre.

This a a beautiful , intimate theatre in the old style. I saw Julian Clary perform here and it was a splendid memorable night. I have several other tickets booked for the Winter Season.

This was my second visit to this lovely traditional theatre. I enjoyed both the shows that I saw ( the first being Eliza Carthy, wonderful). The most recent being last night. Billy Mitchell and Ray Laidlow presented a very lively and interesting account of their musical careers as members of Lindisfarne and other groups. It was a great night. I... More

Went to see a show here last night. Have been before and I'm still amazed how beautiful it is. The seating is comfortable and you can see the stage easily. That is important to me as I'm a bit short. The staff are always very friendly and I like being able to order an interval drink. Yes it does need... More

Second, or is it now the oldest theatre in England? Small, but perfect, three tiers + boxes in a typical Georgian horseshoe shape, and a wonderful ceiling decoration above the stalls. A visit is a must for any lovers of theatre architecture.

A great atmosphere, friendly staff and a very well produced show. Great to see live theatre in a seaside town.
