The castle is a romantic double moated 13th century castle which houses historic 16th century portraits, paintings, furniture, tapestries and treasures. Comprehensive information on the history of Hever Castle can be found in the guide book and audio tours are available from the Hever Shop, Visitor Centre or Castle Entrance. Visitors can explore the magnificent gardens for all seasons which include Italian, Rose and Tudor gardens, topiary, yew maze and splashing water maze, or take a stroll around the informal areas of Sunday Walk and Anne Boleyn’s Walk. Hever hosts a number of special events throughout the season including gardening events with the Head Gardener and his team. Family fun include Jousting Tournaments each summer and is one of our most popular events; visit our website for up to date information on events, prices and opening times. « less

My parents and my younger brother (25) and myself had a lovely day out here though admittedly it was a beautiful and warm sunny day day which definitely helped! Admission isn't cheap, adults at £13 and OAP discount around £10. And the view was slightly marred by parked cars which seemed unnecessary as we had parked across the road which... More

What a magnificent place a true piece of English history, the gardens are stunning with something for everyone to enjoy, the only fault I found the staff to be a bit snobbish and not overly helpful, but this didn't in anyway detract from our enjoyment. The layout of the exhibit inside the house takes you back to the time of... More

This place is superb and you won't worry about wasting a day, in fact you will have a really fun one. The place is clean, huge and just wonderful to walk around and unwind as well as learn about local history through the ages. Great for the kids as the are big fields, mazes and play areas and for the... More

If you love English history and particularly Tudor times then Hever Castle should be on your travel itinerary. This is where Henry V111 courted Anne Boleyn at her family home. The gardens are magnificent including two mazes. There is seating right opposite the draw bridge and it lovely to sit and contemplate what it was like in the 16th century.... More

Pure luxury B&B comfortable rooms, state of the art bathrooms. Breakfast room straight out of a Tudor film set. Really friendly staff and free access to the historic castle and grounds. Just a word of warning, don't lose your head like Anne Bolyene

I visited Hever along with my wife and two daughters (9 & 5) on a sunny weekday September afternoon. The parking was easy with a nice big car park and a short walk to the entrance to the grounds. The gardens are fantastic - not just because of the setting and topiary but because they have catered for all ages.... More

There is so much to do at Hever... Whilst it is relatively pricey, tickets can be bought online before your visit, there are two for one offers in magazines like Gardeners World and you can use clubcard vouchers as well! Once in, there is a lot to see - some amazing Italianate gardens, two mazes (one traditional yew, the other... More

The castle is not huge but its good value if you use a 2 for 1 voucher and explore the gardens, maze etc. Not to mention this was the childhood home of anne boleyn the most famous wife of Henry VIII and the place where they probably first met. If it has rained recently then dont go on the paths around... More

We recently visited Hever Castle as part of a holiday with our family. We arrived with mixed feelings toward the castle, but once in the grounds realised how much there was to do! We started off down at the rowing boat hire- thank goodness for a pedalo! A wonderful hour spent out on the lake with the family; well worth... More
