Big plus points: MASSES of car parking on the fields. Also, entry is per vehicle, not per person, so pack as may in as you can!! If you want to walk around the forest, it's a long old hike (on a tarmaced road). Great for cyclists.

It was a bonus that the sun shone the day we were there but I think we'd have enjoyed the whole experience in the rain or snow. We were heavily outnumbered by super-fit hikers and bikers who were there to enjoy the many trails. There is also a Go Ape centre for the realy adventurous types. But we were there...

The forest and trails are great - the bike hire is quick and easy although its not the cheapest. If your feeling adventurous on your bike there are off road trails dor varying abilities - great fun. The only real downside is the car park fee at £8 - although an annual pass is £50.

Would recommend investing in becoming a 'Friend of Bedgebury' for around £50 if you plan to visit a few times. Beautiful walks over a variety of terrain, with easy access for prams/wheelchairs. Fantastic children's play area and further hidden play equipment along the family walks. Lovely spot to walk dogs (must be on leads.) Popular with cyclists of all abilities,...

The kids love it, a good chance to get the bikes out and let off steam, bit pricey on the parking but take a picnic and make a day of it.

Take a picnic, sit down by the lake and just try and refuse the sad eyed ducks some of your lunch. (they particularly like salad sandwiches)

Lots of information on the walk. Would be good for children - there is also trails for bikes. The cafe was disappointment much too busy and too slow in service and hot choc was cold.
