Just moved to the area and took my son to see Avengers 2. Used to big Odeon Cinema's etc like in Bluewater and also used to paying £15 a ticket with expensive drinks and popcorn. The Royal Cinema was just £5 per ticket and the inside was a delight. The screen was modern and good, seats comfortable and the interior... More

If you like an old fashioned cinema with a soul this is for you. It's like going back thirty years...you can almost hear the projector and see the smoke caught in the beams. I love it.

Apart from being very inexpensive compared to the shopping mall multiplex like Bluewater or Westwood cross it has an atmosphere you almost want to stay forever. You can immerse yourself in your chosen film without losing your entire wallet to overpriced popcorn. An experience to repeat is a visit to the Royal.

A nice independent cinema with a friendly, cosy feel. The staff are friendly and helpful and the cinema building itself and décor is fantastic. Much more pleasant than the commercialised larger cinemas, it has real character.

Love the good old comfort of cinema seating like it was in the 50s and 60s! The cinema needs the revenue from children's films, but they manage to get most block busters in good time, and even host a good film club. Well done Peter and Michael.
