We've lived in Faversham for a few years now, and always been to the Royal to see films. When 'Ant-Man' came out recently, and was at the cinema in Sittingbourne first, we thought we'd give it a go - it was an horrific experience and just made us enjoy the Royal all the more! From going in and being charged... More

Don't go to the Royal if you want the latest in swanky picture houses - this is just a local old fashioned cinema that has survived into the 21st century. The prices are reasonable, the seats comfortable, plenty of leg room and good sound system. All the latest films are shown - although maybe a couple of weeks later than... More

The cinema itself is old fashioned and lovely, the drinks are really cheap the foods not to bad in price even if its not the fizziest of drinks and its all clean inside. The only problem is the films that are shown aren't always the best, i know it would cost a lot of money to play all the latest... More

What a lovely place to watch a film. We ate first at the weatherspoon then went to the cinema. It is beautiful inside and cheap to get in. It is very historic and quaint and well worth a visit. There are plenty of pubs to visit and ozzies does really nice fish and chips and if you want something a... More

I love this as our local cinema. It is quirky, cheap and how a cinema should be. One film a week with extras. From the staff uniform and constant politeness to the draw of the curtains, cheap and tasty popcorn to the draw of the curtains over the Big screen, it is a joy to visit.

As other reviewers have illustrated, this really is a hidden gem. If I'm honest, I've not visited for some time but I do recall that ticket prices were EXTREMELY sensible as was the cost of sundries (a can of ice cold coke for the same price you'd expect to pay in a high street shop!). Having just spent over 25... More

The only item that is missing would be an organ that rises up out of the floor. This would complete the atmosphere of this truly wonderful step back into the past for an experience that you would find difficult to better if you wanted to go back fifty years to that time in the 'back row of the stalls'! With... More

Every town should have one. An absolute pleasure to visit a cinema, that's not linked to a nationwide chain. Quite simply, it's a treat to watch great films in a cinema such as this. Long may it reign !!!
