The royal is an institution in Faversham. It is a great big, comfortable cinema that shows most of the big films that come around. There is also a film club showing somewhat unusually films as well. Terrific value for money

£5 per person even at the weekends. You wouldn't come here to thrill about the loos (last refurbished in the 70's I'd guess) but it gets all the major films fairly quickly and has a lovely Film Society showing arthouse films on Mondays.

A lovingly restored cinema, shows all the current movies plus a selection for the film club on Mondays. Very friendly staff and reasonable ticket prices. They have modern screen and audio equipment and the seats are very comfortable. Always looking forward to the next movie!

Lovely little local cinema which is friendly, inexpensive and hosts good films. No choice of course but if there is something on that you want to see this is a great place to go.

The gem of Faversham! Wonderful old cinema, showing mainstream and some non mainstream films. Stepping in the place is like going back many years, real old feel that's gives you a warm nostalgia feeling :) Friendly staff, nice treats for sale (popcorn etc) Well worth a visit.

This is my favourite place to visit in Faversham. It's so much better than the impersonal and over priced multi screen cinemas. Although there's only 1 screen they have a varied programme - including live National Theatre transmissions. It's half the price of a multi screen cinema and 100 times better. The staff are friendly and they offer a good... More

Cinema with good old fashioned character and a red curtain! Very nostalgic. Would visit again. Saw Grand Budapest Hotel which seemed well suited to this venue. Lovely staff.

This purpose built cinema maintains it's 30's charm, while offering a modern film experience. With superb sound and image quality. The Royal is a true gem, a proper cinema, with just the one large screen, and the mock tudor facade giving each trip a sense of occasion. You may have to wait a little longer for some films compared to... More

Biggest screen in Kent, Film Society showing brilliant films we would otherwise never see, bottled water at 50 pence!

I strongly believe in supporting l local businesses but especially when they are so friendly, try hard to build good relations with customers, have fair prices and just believe with a passion in what they do! This is one such place ...beats all chains hands down. You don't feel ripped off, that you might as well be invisible and needing... More
