The pier in Deal, like the beach, is almost inevitable for any visit to our town. She ain't much to look at but in recent years it has gained a fine fishing statue at its entrance, and a strange looking restaurant at its end. Generally the realm of the fisherman, it is good for walks and photographs, although I cannot... More

Went for a walk to the end of the pier and watched the fishermen ending up in the café which does surprisingly good food, tea and coffee

The pier itself is a big ugly - not a triumph from the 1950s. That being said, it's nice to take a stroll along the pier and watch the people fishing and look at the beach. There's a fish restaurant at the end of the pier which looks interesting and is like to return there.

I love that this is not a typical pier cramed with flashing lights and NOISE! This is just a stroll pier winery all you hear is the sea and the many fishing fanatics casting off . There is a lovely cafe at the end.

A very well maintained pier popular with fishermen and your walk is rewarded with an excellent restaurant at the end of the pier.

Staff are friendly, crockery is in need of a good clean or upgrade.. all chipped and teapots very stained, chipped bowls and dirty cutlery.. shame as food is good.

Lovely walk for fresh air and relaxation and what stunning views both to land and sea. (Some people are idiots for moaning about the fishing rods! It's a pier!!! Lol )

Well maintained, well used, well loved. Simple, serene spot to enjoy the seaside and coast line. We visit Deal often and the Pier offers a little something different every time.

This is not be a your typical victorian pier as Deal had to scarifice its earlier pier for the WWII war effort (to stop the Germans using it as a possible landing point). It is a great way though to have a walk and look back at the unique town scape. The ice-cream at the pier entrance or the Ice-cream... More

Nothing flashy but gives great views to look back at town, beautiful old houses that you miss when walking along the street Makes a change from having piers filled with machines to win a teddy! Great for sitting down and relaxing while watching the fishermen
