Hampton Court looks so imposing from the outside so we decided to lay £10 to view Castle and gardens. Was rather disappointed to view the interior, only the grand staircase did anything for the yeses!! Unfortunately the rain came so could not enjoy the gardens, maze and walks.

Having been rather disappointed to find Eastnor Castle closed on the day we chose to visit, we opted for Hampton Court Castle and Gardens instead, having found a dusty brochure for the 'Gardens only' in our rented cottage. A quick check online revealed that the Castle was now also open to the public, so we took a punt on the... More

This is a privately run castle, stunning in its grand entrance drive, size and contents surrounded by glorious wooded Heredfordshire Hills huge acreage with the river Lugg running through it and exquisite gardens with a yew maze and tower to climb at its centre. This is a place for all the family to share for a full day out with... More

Anyone with a like of English History should visit Hampton Court. Originally built by Cardinal Wolsey, it was taken over by Henry VIII and was home to Anne Boelyn as well as the other queens. Later the Georgians lived here and destroyed much of the Tudor style and replaced it with Baroque style. The visit will take 3-4 hours minimum,... More

I took my Husband & 2x young children to Hampton Court Castle today. There was a medieval reinactment event, with battles, stalls & demonstrations. We also had a potter around the gardens & discovered the sunken garden with a waterfall we could walk behind ! We also found the cheaters way to the centre of the maze. The cost of... More

Although we did not go into the castle as the price and the fact its a guided tour only put us right off. The gardens are fantastic. Good maze too. The water features are interesting. The only down side was not enough of it wanted more.

A wonderful afternoon spent at Hampton Court Castle, lovely surroundings and a very informative Tour Guide, Sharon, who told us so much about the castle and its owners, past and present. I would recommend a visit there any day, and the café is well worth a visit.

Have been here many many times and it still has so much to enjoy, if you like gardens with park land walks its for you, has some great garden ideas and a fabulous water feature hidden behind the maze. Excellent wide paths for access with a push chair or wheelchair, orangery restaurant for a smart cuppa or a ice cream... More

The grounds are lovely. Our guide Susan was a hoot. Took lots of pictures and had insight into some interesting owners. Would recommend a visit.
