This place is stunning. If you're looking for a place to spend all day or just a few hours on your own or as a family then this place is for you. The castle itself is beautifully furnished with tours by informative guides. The grounds and gardens are beautiful with lots of walks, quirky bits and bobs and a maze.... More

We were impressed by the wonderful gardens and impressive building. After the tour & having been told the history behind the more recent inhabitants I realised why we have never heard of this castle. Unfortunately at one point the entire building contents had to be ripped out & sold off. The castle is now full of questionable 'collectibles' amassed by... More

This spectacular castle and grounds is hailed as the original "Hampton Court" by the guide, but suffice it to say that most people will think of it as the 'other' Hampton Court. This castle-come-mansion is a fascinating look at how the traditional fortified buildings would have been developed to offer more comfort and luxury for the gentry. The guide who... More

Beautifully kept and in amazing condition. Decorated with all the trappings you would expect from a Castle and more. Fabulous views from anywhere you look out that change as the days light changes. Rooms all individual and decorated to the highest standard. But most importantly this place just wouldn't be the same if Richard, his sister and team of staff... More

Visited here as I remembered it from the 1970s TV programme 'Survivors'. The rather hand-made WAY IN signs leading to a port cabin loo and a wooden ticket office/shop did not bode well but when we walked through the tiny gate into the walled garden we knew this places was very special. It was one of the best walked gardens... More

Hampton Court looks so imposing from the outside so we decided to lay £10 to view Castle and gardens. Was rather disappointed to view the interior, only the grand staircase did anything for the yeses!! Unfortunately the rain came so could not enjoy the gardens, maze and walks.

Having been rather disappointed to find Eastnor Castle closed on the day we chose to visit, we opted for Hampton Court Castle and Gardens instead, having found a dusty brochure for the 'Gardens only' in our rented cottage. A quick check online revealed that the Castle was now also open to the public, so we took a punt on the... More

Anyone with a like of English History should visit Hampton Court. Originally built by Cardinal Wolsey, it was taken over by Henry VIII and was home to Anne Boelyn as well as the other queens. Later the Georgians lived here and destroyed much of the Tudor style and replaced it with Baroque style. The visit will take 3-4 hours minimum,... More

I took my Husband & 2x young children to Hampton Court Castle today. There was a medieval reinactment event, with battles, stalls & demonstrations. We also had a potter around the gardens & discovered the sunken garden with a waterfall we could walk behind ! We also found the cheaters way to the centre of the maze. The cost of... More
