Lots to see and do. Plenty of walks and cycle track - including the excellent cycle through the wood on a single track experience. Great fitness trail with lots of exercise stations. Ride on model steam railway for kids of all ages - also engine sheds to visit. Amazing kids play trail through the forest. Lovely lakeside walks. Refreshments available... More

Been taking my dogs in this forest for sixteen years, but on leads of course in the restricted areas around the reception area and playgrounds. Lovely walks, so well maintained. Also great for cycling, lots of great, dedicated tracks to explore. Tree top trail is a real favourite, a surprise opportunity to experience the forest from a different point of... More

Took my 3 year old grandson to Moors Valley for the Gruffalo trail, he was really excited to go and see all his favourite characters but what a disappointment ........... The trail consists of 1 wooden gruffalo statue, 5 signs of gruffalos in the trees and a few information boards, thats it!!! We kept walking expecting another character to appear... More

Nice to be out and about on New Years Day. Amazing to be so accessible from the A31 only a few minutes, but yet seem so far from it all.

Reasonable parking, fun for all ages, parks, walks, mini steam train, play areas, lakes, forest walks, animals... Something for everyone and enough to do for an hour to all day. Spent so much time here as a child (any season) and love going back here with friends and family still. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an enjoyable day... More

The beauty of this isn't in the forsest ( dull trees , mostly same variety) but in the chance to walk with your children to. Serious play areas, all of which are fantastic. You get some exercise, so do they. Well Worth a visit, lots of things for all ages. In the summer, a retreat from the sun. It isn't... More

lots to do for the family, restaurant is okay and passable, staff are very helpful, the parking charge is the admission ticket but a season ticket works well, nice exhibitions often held in the barn - good day out with the lake, walks, little train, cycling, children trails

Lovely day out for the whole family, lots to do with little ones, great train ride on the miniature railway. Come here on regular basis as we love it so much. Bring a picnic and a bag for your rubbish as the park encourages people to take their rubbish away with them. Activities throughout the year. Nice clean facilities and... More
