I went for the first time with my family, including 3 boys under the age of 6. I was very impressed, very clean, beautiful condition, and even though busy I found it quite relaxing. The kids had a great time on the trails and the train and there was plenty of space for a picnic. Train ride was £14.50 for... More

A really super day once hubby had got over the shock of the car park costs! Beautiful forest and fantastic walks with play areas for kids of all ages. It was an incredibly busy Bank Holiday but we still managed to find some peace and tranquility in the woods. Lovely lunch in the cafe but be prepared for a wait... More

Lovely for walks and cycling also a steam railway. Great for all the family or if you just want to take a break and enjoy a well maintained park and forest. There is also a golf course.

Moors Valley has something to offer all ages. Great place to take kids, the adventure playgrounds offer challenging activities but are safe and well planned out. Lots of walking opportunities and different trails to follow, cyclists can be a bit annoying but didn't spoil our walk. Nice cafe and shop, staff helpful and friendly.

This is a great place so much to do for any age group - hunt for 'Gruffalo' and playgrounds for the little ones, 'Go Ape' for older ones as well as picnics and bike hire. Shame weather cannot be guaranteed. Only negative is cost of parking given how much money you spend once there.

Great place for the kids but mostly outside so better in the dry rather than wet weather. Have a go on the train and enjoy the walks and the activity path for the kids. Great day out and only costs the car park fee

Although the park welcomes dogs we could not find any poo bins ! We bought Afew snacks for children which were expensive and no bins for rubbish either!!

Car parking is the first thing you get when you arrive and I am sorry but £8 per car for a few hours is a rip off! That's on a par with central London and theres plenty of other places nearby on the forest with free parking so go there!

I really enjoy going to this park. We live locally and we do like to go there for a few hours to walk and let my son enjoy the playground facilities.. however if you do not intend to stay for a while, the car park is actually very expensive which is a real shame

We often use this park as a meet up point for the family. There's lots to do with the play park, picnic area by the lovely lake, little train ride and then the woodland walk. Even if your children are too young to climb on these they still seem to enjoy running around in the fresh air. Off there again... More
